New roads in Vineyard mapped

Posted by Ted Percival on 5 April 2009 in English.

Today I mapped some new streets in Vineyard (a small town in Metropolitan Salt Lake City, Utah). It should be almost complete now, and a bunch of non-existent TIGER streets were removed. Many of the new streets don't have name signs up yet, but having the streets mapped will make a second pass for name gathering easier when the time comes. There are no houses on the new streets yet (except for one derelict farm house with "Enter if you want to die" spray painted on its front door), so it's unlikely someone will be looking to go there as a destination just yet.

Recording was done using my G1, the ability to take geotagged photos of street signs and physical conditions such as gates, stub roads and power lines was nice.
