>I kindly request you pause adding buildings at this time until further discussion.
First question – who are you? A moderator of some kind or just another user? Maybe you should ask me what I’m doing first.

>I'm trying to piece together feedback on how to proceed.
This statement and the rest in the message give indication you speaking with others and are not seeking feedback from me. Rather irritating. On top of that, you put comments up publicly rather than sending me a DM to discuss this? Does not give me cause to be cordial in my response.

Why do you need feedback on “how to proceed.” Need someone to make your mind up for you? Maybe you should ask me what I’m doing first rather than show up and throw your weight around.

>It appears you are just spamming random squares everywhere you see a building.
#1 – Do not describe someone else’s methods as “spamming” until you understand what they’re doing. Which you haven’t asked yet.
#2 – Since you are apparently highly aware of my methods – please enlighten me on the finer points of what I’m doing. I promise to listen.

I have a question for you: do you live in the Knoxville area? Given what you’ve said so far – I’m fairly certain you don’t. I’m open to being wrong on that, but doubt that I am. Maybe you should ask me what I’m doing first – which you haven’t, all you did was show up and tell me to stop.

>While we want data on OSM, we want quality as well. The areas you are adding are not representative of their actual size or even alignment (why do they all face the same direction?).
This remark indicates you’ve not looked at much of what I’ve done. Maybe the last 5 seconds of it.

>Furthermore, you are adding all of them as just 1 level, but with some spot checking this isn't always correct as some are observed to have 2 levels.
Ah, ok. While building out a basic template from which I’ll add detail at a later date, let me stop and add that detail to EVERY SINGLE ITEM as I go along - just to make you happy. I promise to conform to every single method you like so that I never upset you. You will be happy endlessly.

>I'm not sure how to resolve this and move forward.
Simple answer – mind your own business while I build the map of the city the city I live in. You apparently think for some reason I’d turn my city into some version of stick figure porn.

>Revert and add better quality from scratch?
If you want to suggest something this stupid – then I can go back and erase all of the effort I have put into the map of the area I live in and then delete my account. I certainly wouldn’t want you to be upset. My world would come to screeching halt if you didn’t like my methods of drawing the city I live in.

>Make you adjust each one and correct it?
Make me? Ok, so you’re saying you are someone assigned some authority within the OSM world? Oh, sorry sir, let me get back in line immediately, sir. I won’t do it again, sir.

>I'm not sure.
Yeah that’s pretty obvious.

>But to start, they should be realigned and size/shapes should be adjusted to the actual imagery of each house.
Again, you’ve not looked at much of what I’ve done. You focused in the recent macro addition and ignored everything else.

>Copy/paste is not really OSM style.
I don’t care if it is - or is not. I didn’t ask you for how you think I should generate the map of the area I live in.

>There are tools that can provide much better data than what you have done.
Ok, ok. I was unaware I was finished with what I was doing. Sorry if you mistook that – I wasn’t. Maybe you should look at some of the areas I’ve finished out. I doubt you will – you don’t strike me as someone who’d look for that much detail. A better option is mind your own business.

16k edits buts 44k comments – that doesn’t give me much reason to give a damn what you have to say.

Sincerely,
The grumpy guy who just got off night shift and was looking forward to decompressing and enjoying drawing some of the city he lives in – only to see an email from an asshole who doesn’t like how I go about mapping my city. Cheers buddy!
