I'm just starting out on using OSM. Having said that i need to learn quickly since i have to make use of the data! I'm in my final year at Aston University, Birmingham, and for my final year project, I'm tasked with developing an application for a mobile platform (using JavaME) to use the OSM data.

Ultimately I'd like to try and get it routing a small area, say the campus? Or sutton coldfied since there seems to be plenty of map there.
Also, having it record the data if not present would be great!

If you can help or suggest resources to look at to find out more on the form of the data i can retrieve the map in etc, please contact me!

It's all new and getting this knowledge is key to getting a good start on the project!
