| 150097343 | over 1 year ago | Hello,
|
| 149843868 | over 1 year ago | @ablevi202 Taking way/684681276/history as an example, how is someone local to that area even supposed to know that the way was deleted in this changeset? How do we find out what it is now? An "amenity=school" way with a name of "Blackshear School (CLOSED)" is easy to spot as needing a check to see what it is now; a deleted way is not. Both are of course wrong - the former school is presumably either brownfield, housing, industrial or something else, but we won't know until someone Goes And Has A Look. |

| 149843868 | over 1 year ago | I've reverted this in changeset/150071599 for two reasons:
|
| 150071599 | over 1 year ago | Clearly the restored state of these objects (with a name of "closed") is incorrect, but the way that they were previously processed in changeset/149843868 was obviously wrong. I'm restoring to the state before so that people can figure out how best to deal with them. In some cases "disused:amenity=blah" will make sense; in some cases deletion will make sense (but not in all cases where changeset/149843868 deleted things, for example at way/684681276/history there is surely something on that site now, even if it is only a disused school or a bit of brownfield). |
| 146526294 | over 1 year ago | The bit that seems odd to me is that https://osmlab.github.io/osm-deep-history/#/relation/17061996 shows that that multipolygon was created here. What caused this area to show on a maproulette list? |
| 150010220 | over 1 year ago | Also ts0700a, same date |
| 149995220 | over 1 year ago | Cześć,
|
| 149995220 | over 1 year ago | Hello,
|
| 146526294 | over 1 year ago | Not sure what happened here, but some islands in the river ended up submerged. See way/692587227/history . I fixed it in changeset/149989605 . |
| 149985523 | over 1 year ago | Also south of Gargrave along the canal, from survey 07/4/2024, ts0822a |
| 149858020 | over 1 year ago | Hello Papa Rey,
|
| 149522811 | over 1 year ago | Hello,
|
| 149827902 | over 1 year ago | @fortera_au Agreed - Given that https://community.openstreetmap.org/t/queensland-to-classify-roads-based-on-bylaw-data/111652/16 has neither identified any bylaws (in QLD or SA) nor shown that they should directly determine OSM highway values, it would make sense to revert this change. I'm happy for you to do this; or if you prefer I can do it. |
| 149827902 | over 1 year ago | > I am just a normal mapper No, you're not. "normal mappers" don't draw the ire of their local community by just ignoring what everyone else has to say. Normal mappers don't write diary entries targeting their "haters" like yours. Normal mappers don't collect a host of block messages like @slice0/blocks . If you aren't able to compromise I'm afraid that this may not be the project for you, and perhaps you should refer to the matter of "Arkell vs Pressdram". However if you do want to continue contributing please do start making your case for this changeset in the forum and - most importantly - listening for what other people have to say. |
| 149827902 | over 1 year ago | In response to your question elsewhere "how come every thing I do is questioned and even though I have never broken a single OSM policy I get blocked", it's because (among other things) you write diary entries like these: @slice0/diary . |
| 149827902 | over 1 year ago | Hang on - following osm.org/user_blocks/15905 and https://community.openstreetmap.org/t/my-apology-to-my-fellow-osm-editors/111649 I'd have expected to see a discussion somewhere about this road clas change before "just doing it" (read the part of the message that starts "Please do not start changing road classes again...").

| 149827539 | over 1 year ago | I don't understand "they mainly just help clear confussion in the real world sense." What actually is the benefit of the "junction=yes" tagging? |
