Great stuff - thanks!

As noted in @c%20tito%20young/diary/404518#comment57540 , the "shapes" here seem to be entirely fictional. Perhaps some other project may be a better outlet for this drawing (uMap, maybe)?

Andy

Hello coro85, and welcome to OpenStreetMap!
It'd be really helpful if you used more words to describe your changes, rather than just "correction". It would help other mappers understand what changes you are making.
Best Regards,
Andy

Hello idkwhatname2use,
What licence were the "usgs maps" you used here released under. The date will be important here - see https://www.usgs.gov/faqs/are-usgs-topographic-maps-copyrighted .
Whether these features can legally be in OSM is of course a separate issue to whether they should be in OSM or somewhere else - but we need to understand the answer to the legal question.

Hello MKBE_,

Temporary restrictions such as this tend not to be mapped "live" in OSM. If a road is closed for months, that's a different story. The reason for this is that the cadence of updates from OSM that users see varies hugely (in apps, monthly is common).

For further discussion, https://community.openstreetmap.org/c/communities/uk/86 is a better place than here as more people will see it and be able to comment.

Also - you said "I will revert when re-opened at 23:59 on 28/6/24". You failed to do that.

Best Regards,

Andy Townsend, on behalf of OSM's Data Working Group.

Hello MKBE_ and MKBE_2,
Can you explain what "it was for busmiles.uk" means? Is that an app or website that you are updating OSM for?
Best Regards,
Andy Townsend, on behalf of OSM's Data Working Group.

Dear user DotK, please use changeset comments that describe, to another human being, in natural language, what your edit is about. The "#hotosm-project-16660;#wnah;#mapnigeria;#esc2023;#Map4Climate" blurb you're currently putting in there is worthless to other OpenStreetMap community members; something like "traced buildings in Saki" would be 1000 times more valuable than all the hash tags.

You must not perform tagfiddling like this without following osm.wiki/Automated_Edits_code_of_conduct .
leisure=indoor_play is a widely used documented tag https://taginfo.openstreetmap.org/tags/leisure=indoor_play#overview and is widely supported by external projects https://taginfo.openstreetmap.org/tags/leisure=indoor_play#projects . I'll revert this change.

Hello Barroszt,
To be clear (as noted at osm.org/user_blocks/16391 ) part of the problem is that people think that you are changing some things and missing others.
Perhaps avoid doing large-scale "mechanical" edits for a while and survey new stuff?
Best Regards,
Andy

What source did you use for this edit? It surely wasn't just "Bing Maps Aerial", which your changeset tags suggest.

151942965 over 1 year ago

How do you know the data that you added here is correct? Did you survey it to check?

¡Hola y bienvenido a OpenStreetMap!

Utilice palabras reales en los comentarios de su conjunto de cambios que expliquen lo que realmente está haciendo. Aquí acabas de utilizar algunos caracteres galimatías que no significan nada.

Atentamente,
andy

PD: Cualquier duda no dudes en preguntar.

Hello and welcome to OpenStreetMap!

Please use actual words in your changeset comments that explains what you are actually doing. Here you've just used some gibberish characters that don't mean anything.

Best Regards,
Andy

PS Any questions, please don't hesitate to ask.

@tyr_asd Thanks for fixing. That comedy "mpr.lt" doesn't even resolve for me!

Hello,
You've changed node/1 to an "amenity=doctors". What that something that you really wanted to do?
Besy Regards,
Andy

Camerons didn't buy Leeds Brewery, they bought a bunch of pubs from it (including this one). Camerons claim to operate it under their "Urban Country Pubs" brand, but that branding certainly wasn't obvious to me the last time I was in (admittedly a while ago).
Separately and more recently, Kirkstall Brewery bought Leeds Brewery, and Kirkstall beers now appear alongside Leeds beers in former Leeds pubs (but not this one, because it wasn't a Leeds pub at the time).
