For the avoidance of doubt, the "fantasy motorway" is very visible at https://overpass-api.de/achavi/?changeset=135792627 , and there's nothing obviously on the imagery at osm.org/#map=18/45.62400/-74.02576 where an alleged node was.

For information, the relevant policy created by OSMF is here: https://wiki.osmfoundation.org/w/images/d/d8/DisputedTerritoriesInformation.pdf . I would encourage you to read that, particular parts such as "recording what is actually currently used in a particular area, giving pre-eminence to data collected in situ". Not that "official" names and "official" languages are of relatively low importance - how local people actually name things is much more importance.

From looking at e.g. https://osm.mapki.com/history/node/5606954615 , this appears to be about the "name" tag itself, not the individual language tags such as name:ar and name:en.

First things first, if a name for a place is verifiable in multiple languages then there should be name:language tags for those languages.

Secondly, what goes in the "name" tag itself may vary based on how the local community name things. See osm.wiki/Multilingual_names for lots of detail.

There is a reference to the UAE on that page, but that was added by one person from the USA in 2017: osm.wiki/w/index.php?title=Multilingual_names&type=revision&diff=1501734&oldid=1501731 . It may not reflect local community norms.

I'd therefore suggest discussing it more widely than just this changeset. The forum (at https://community.openstreetmap.org/tag/uae ) would be a better place. You can both post photographic evidence for the signs used locally to back up your individual points of view.

Something went a bit wrong here. There's now a gap in the cycle relation https://overpass-turbo.eu/s/1uyA and an extra spur has been added to the Superrelation https://overpass-turbo.eu/s/1uyB (that shouldn't have any ways in it at all). Does NCN National Route 1 now go down Coulson Drive rather than along Hull Road - if so you'll have to split way/23228945 , remove the northern part from the relation, and add more pieces ways to the east. You're using iD to edit here, which makes it really hard for you to see which relation you're adding (you'll have to click on the relation to see which one it is).

For info, the boundary problem is unrelated to this changeset. See the discussion at changeset/130698589 . To see the Uzbekistan border at a date in time you can use overpass; for example https://overpass-turbo.eu/s/1utz is a year ago and https://overpass-turbo.eu/s/1utA is December. If there's a problem with the border please discuss on changeset/130698589 , where the people previously involved in the discussion will see it.

That source doesn't suggest that as a name, just a description.

Is all of way/807272233 really going to be student accommodation? I know that ATS Euromaster has shut, but this covers all of Hazel Court as well :)
