Fast jag har ju också en massa geoinfo som bara ligger och väntar på att matas in i OSM. :) Jobbigt, fick en liten burnout på sistone :)

Alla vägar jag tog hade asfalt, så när asfalten tog slut och grusvägen började(eller andra underlag) så vände jag tillbaka och fortsatte att utforska :)

Today I just noticed a street whose name was made by an editor who hasn’t contributed for 3 years and who is “undecided”.

Its things like these I may have spotted during the years and discouraged me. BUT the wait is beginning to be finally over.(uncorrect English but wth)

Εκεί ξεκίνησα την χαρτογράφηση. Ξεκίνησα από την οδό Μακεδονομάχων να δω μέχρι που φτάνει(σιγουρεύτικα για το που αρχίζει. Διασταυρώθηκε με την Οδό Αρχαιοτήτων και μια άλλη που λεγόταν κάτι σε στυλ τριών "ταδε"). Μετά δοκίμασα την Οδό Αρχαιοτήτων που σταματάει και που τελειώνει (έγραφε Οδός Καυκάσου).

Μια πολύ μικρή οδός(Οδός Δεξαμενής) δίπλα στο Αντλιοστάσιο ΕΥΑΘ Καλλιθέας, που εκτός ότι διασταυρώνεται με την οδό Αρχαιοτήτων ή άλλη μόνο οδός με την οποία διασταυρώνεται είναι η Οδό Θερισσού.

Με βάση το Bing και survey(την φυσική παρουσία μου εκεί) κατάλαβα που ήταν η κάθε οδός.

Finally we can use spaces instead of having to use the not_very_user_friendly_under_score when we tag our gps tracees :) .

So instead of typing Prefecture_of_Thessaloniki which isn't very nice looking and practical to type, simply Prefecture of Thessaloniki.

I've reached until bus stop Mavros Gatos, and from there I noted down the bus stops that come next:

So it's missing an image. Why don't I add one when I've come back from dinner?

I added an image of mapnik showing one hospital icon. There is room for improvement I think but it will do for now: amenity=hospital

Observation: Wow! I'm impressed, mapnik has already updated the buildings and the hospital I added a few hours (or many minutes) ago!

2nd Observation: I did too many things at once, and an edit made to the interpolation way, caused JOSM to refuse to upload my new additions of the addresses. I'll take a rest(my primary way of solving problems ;) , and then return here to try to solve this mess. (Even by getting the new version, merging it with the layer I'm working with , is not working).

I'm afraid I'll lose data this way.

I learnt in this way that I needed to close the way for a parking lot, and it also made me curious about some other possible errors, regarding pedestrian road crossings.

I did some interpolation, which I learnt from watching how it's done in a Swedish city called Linkoping. Now I'm not sure I did it exactly as they've done it, but at least I'm not adding the street name to each node of the interpolation way.

I also added the bus stop Navarinou beside the road.

So I add some trees. In the city trees are sparse and very few. Now I remember the Aristotelous square, and a few bits of detail.

Also recently I've discovered openstreetbugs. It's kinda "wikimapia style" sort of additions and it's like for: requests, comments and errors. Quite interesting. Will probably be of use.

I've already began, mostly in my own area: osm.org/?lat=40.64623&lon=22.9485&zoom=17&layers=B000FTF

but now I'm doing a bit in the center of the city: osm.org/?lat=40.634116&lon=22.94144&zoom=18&layers=B000FTF . I'm mostly interested in mapping buildings for the moment.

I've done at this area, but also some buildings to the west of that place.

It's called odysseus road, but it's marked as a highway belonging to a lot of segments. I don't have anything against an extra layer showing how to get to the highway, but I also don't know how to do it in josm to make an extra layer yet, and to unite it with the next segment close by.
