Please do not tag protected areas and managed boundaries with landuse=forest just to color the map. this is incorrect and doesn’t accurately represent all areas within the area.

I’ve noticed that you’ve done this to other management areas. Can you repair this data for me? I’m not at my computer right now.

do you have a suggestion for a better tag, or a tag I should propose? this seemed like the most appropriate option from what I read on the wiki.

I don't see any reason why these objects can't be represented by a node.

I also deleted the tag mast:type=column because I couldn’t think of an appropriate substitute tag.

you used the incorrect tag to describe the object. the correct tagging is man_made=mast

The difference is described on the wiki:

man_made=communications_tower

man_made=mast

I’m trying to fight the increasing incorrect use of this tag, so please use the correct tagging in the future.
