| 117764942 | almost 4 years ago | Hello Parvel Melec. I noticed a large amount of duplicate overlapping data that you added in the area of the towns of Merci (node/989594938) and Doncor (node/989452282). I had to revert these changesets since there were four layers of duplicate data in this large region. Bonjour Parvel Melec. | 86782600 | almost 4 years ago | Hi, bernardo60. MonteGeneroso is no longer on the team, but I can try to answer your question. It seems that the highway was changed from secondary to primary due to it connecting large towns to Semarapura, which fits the description on the OSM Wiki for primary highways (highway=primary). There’s also a greater number of OSM GPS Traces along this route, which suggests it’s traveled on more than surrounding routes. What do you think about setting way/795486625 and way/814841838 to secondary and leaving the highways south of node/273931567 as primary?

almost 4 years ago | Hello mutiaputriutami. I see that you added a no_straight_on restriction (relation/13056897) on this prominent route with ESRI Imagery. There is a painted stop line there but no permanent physical barrier. In this https://kartaview.org/details/2344278/672/track-info from June of 2020 you can see that the road is unobstructed and these temporary plastic diversions are there for construction. Since the resources show no permanent barrier, could you delete that restriction to allow routing through? Also the classification could be promoted to tertiary or even secondary as it provides important connectivity between the secondary roads on either side that it connects to. Thanks and let me know if you come to a different conclusion. RiverBearings.
almost 4 years ago | Olá DressyPear4. Hi DressyPear4. Chinook23 is no longer on the team, but I can try to answer your question. It is clear there is a waterway visible in imagery but it wasn’t 100% clear if it was a bridge or a culvert there. I see that you already added the tag back which makes sense in this case. Thanks for reaching out and updating the tags on the bridge segment. Have a great day!

ff5722. Thanks for your thoughts on this. Perhaps new imagery with ref signage will become available someday. Thanks again for looking into the issue though.

almost 4 years ago | Hello ff5722. I wanted to reach out about the new motorway that is contained in the members of relation/11697166. This route does not have ref tags on its ways or that relation. Would you happen to know if the Asian Highway 12 (ref=AH12 relation/229600) should have its members and ref tags moved away from the primary route just to the east and moved to the motorway? Any information with either getting ref tags established on the motorway or identifying another OSM community member who might know authoritatively would be a great help. Thanks and have a good day.
almost 4 years ago | Olá, O Fim. Hello, O Fim. Pueyrredon is no longer on the team but I can try to answer your question. It looks like Pueyrredon reclassified footways to service highways in a parking lot which connects to the sidewalk way/461276497. I agree that connections between the sidewalk and street are important for routing, and here it exists through way/965914984 and way/966375200. I’ll make additional connections at the crosswalks to improve routing since Mapillary is available at those locations. Thanks for bringing this to my attention and have a great day.
about 4 years ago | سلام بهینام. Hello behinam. I noticed that you are converting existing roads to barrier features recently. These are flagged as invalid tag modifications in OSMcha such as https://osmcha.org/changesets/111197379. The barrier tag is for a certain type of physical structure separate from roads that they might be near to - barrier=*. If you have local knowledge of these barriers near roads and rivers you can add them in as separate features but converting roads to barriers will remove that road from the existing network. Thanks and have a good day!
about 4 years ago | Xapitoun. Xapitoun. Thanks for reviewing. I will update the route with the signage found on the ground level. Hopefully more imagery will added to the island in the near future. Have a good day.
about 4 years ago | Bonjour Xapitoun. Merci! Hello Xapitoun. I noticed that you removed the RN 8 ref from Route Nationale #8 several years back in this changeset (changeset/36518002). All my research suggests that this is still an existing national route that crosses the border with the Dominican Republic. There are a few ground level images of signs from mid-2019 that confirm that in each direction: https://www.mapillary.com/app/?lat=18.531069034959&lng=-72.050481868902&z=17&pKey=1919676084850148&focus=photo&trafficSign%5B%5D=all&x=0.6371777136178712&y=0.5663844537669023&zoom=2.092404688995829 & https://www.mapillary.com/app/?lat=18.527863868725&lng=-72.041342356175&z=17&pKey=903395393726286&focus=photo&trafficSign%5B%5D=all&x=0.7395301238136885&y=0.5903840900883057&zoom=1.328328005333698. I wanted to inform you of the issue before I change it back to RN 8. If you have any other resources that suggest it should have an alt_ref= RD 111 tag (from the addition in this changeset/56210635), let me know and I can include that as well. Thanks!
about 4 years ago | Utami_setyorini. Thanks for verifying and updating the tagging. The conditional oneway looks good to me! Have a great day.
about 4 years ago | Hello utami_setyorini. I was looking at this road (way/533768511) and noticed that there is a default oneway=yes tag and a conditional time tag with yes as well. Are the times outside the range specified in the conditional tag a oneway=no or is there a reversed direction oneway during that period of time? All available ground imagery in kartaview makes it seem that it is always a oneway in the set direction. Any help understanding the directions and times here would be greatly appreciated.
about 4 years ago | Hello dur_ga. I saw that you added a oneway=yes tag to Jalan Mas Soenjoto (way/35451223) after it had a oneway:conditional=yes @ (17:00-07:00). Roads usually will not have both simultaneously. Do you know if this road is always a oneway currently? Thanks for your insight into this issue.
over 4 years ago | Hello Mama li Turchi. This editor is no longer on our team. However, thanks for the suggestion.
over 4 years ago | Hello ftrebien. Popnlock is no longer on our team but thanks for adding you thoughts to this classification discussion. I think your perspective on these outlier cases where the higher road system than the one in question is firmly set is interesting. My team is happy to follow the highway classifications that the community agrees on, maybe you all could talk with the rest of the community about the classification system taking into account speed tags and local importance into consideration for the secondary/tertiary network. Thanks!
