Hi sizzlaaaa,

Just a little nit-pick:-
Have a read up on the OSM Australian Tagging Guidelines wiki here:
osm.wiki/Australian_Tagging_Guidelines

--> For addresses, you only need a minimum of a unit number (if applicable) / house number / street name. You can optionally add a suburb / post code / state / country.
Note that state should be "VIC" rather than "Victoria".
- I made this mistake myself 2 years ago too.

Also want to say thanks for updating the map, especially around new housing estates. - It can make a big difference for people living there to get deliveries etc.

Also if you need any assistance, let me know.

Nice work :)

Oops, well spotted user_5369.
I originally meant to use the tag:
name:source=vicmap - as Paramount Road had been named Dempster Street in error earlier. I've since removed this erroneous tag as it just creates confusion. Cheers.

Cheers :)
The building in the west seems to be a club house (didn't note it on my last survey of the place). Though it does have toilets accessible to the public out of hours.

Also, City of Melbourne imagery is awesome!!! :D

Correct, entry is not free, though access=customers would be more appropriate?

Bad changeset description, should read: "added roundabout north of Kilmore, Victoria"

Well spotted. Residential is probably the best tag for Liz Kernohan Drive (the parts you've changed anyway). However major parts of it are under construction, most of it (all of it?) currently is / will be quite a large segregated road. Chances are Liz Kernohan Drive has had more construction since I last surveyed that area.
I think keeping it residential is good for now, when it's more completed I may change it back to secondary depending on how major it is.
Thanks :)

The name has not officially been changed, an article referencing google map's error: http://www.abc.net.au/news/2017-06-08/google-prematurely-renames-margaret-court-arena/8600168

Sorry for the late reply, have been busy.
1) The truck parking areas in most of these rest areas are built for trucks (solid long road, lots of bins, nothing else), however there are no signs restricting access to other vehicles. Cars often use truck parking areas for quick power naps, etc.
2) I've used name=truck parking as it's handy to have, a label tag would be good to have, but I fear it may create more confusing and fragmentation.
Also there are regular signs along the Hume Highway that indicate "Truck Parking" and / or a Truck parking symbol in Xkm. Should this be taken as the name of the parking area, the use of the area, or what is commonly known --> truck parking areas allow any vehicles to park for a rest, but there are no toilets, shelters, or picnic tables.
3) I so agree with poor rest area documentation. I've used rest area polygons for many of these rest areas as they are often enclosed by fences / property boundaries, or have lawns, that can be seen from aerial imagery / LPI base map.

I'm starting to think that the more that I try to think through this logically the more confused I get.

I've refined many highway=rest_area geometries to reflect property boundaries in changeset #48963840

* I've given the name to give a function to more identify which area is for cars, and which is for caravans / hgv - as many rest areas here have separate parking areas adjacent to each other. But I can see how this could be in error.

I drive up and down the Hume Highway a few times a year. I use aerial imagery (in this case LPI NSW from 2016/07/13) to draw the geometry, and my own notes and photos for other details.
In this case, fee, toilet, drinking water, hgv access, and other information was from survey / local knowledge (should've put that in the source field, I know).
For some of the truck parking areas, I did use combined rest area and parking area. At the time I put them in, I wasn't quite sure how to map it. In this case the truck rest area has no toilets or any other reason to have a larger rest area polygon than it's corresponding truck parking area.
Let me know if I've done something wrong so I can learn from it. Or feel free to fix it up. Thanks :-)

Thanks for picking this up XaMi, I've adjusted parking tags accordingly. Please note that there are no parking discs (all free parking) - but is time limited (except at night). way/175957681 is a complicated one, but should also be fixed as well (free parking by default, restricted to 1 hour on saturdays, weekdays this is a loading zone for goods vehicles).
I do quite like the attractiveness of the maxstay:times tags - it's a lot easier to comprehend, use, and maintain. - But it's not in the wiki, so I won't use them.

Hello :-)

Just noticed Etihad Stadium looks a bit more square on the eastern end.
While Etihad Stadium does have a square roof, the ground's maximum dimensions are oval in shape. Hence I'm reverting this changeset back to its former oval shape. Confirmation of it's oval shape can be found at http://www.etihadstadium.com.au/stadium/seating-configuration

Please don't let this dissuade you from further OSM mapping, cheers.

Welcome to openstreetmap ash_mcd :-)
Thanks for adding missing street names around Eynesbury, but please don't abbrieviate road names, eg: "Wangaratta Street", not "Wangaratta St". I've fixed them up anyhow. Have fun with OSM, and thanks for improving the map :) - Rhubarb.
