As I have my suspicions, is this something you can investigate ? I'm aware 1½ is down there but this is akin to a private drive off a named road. I know it's not private but I have my doubts about it having that name. It may even have some other funky name!

Just querying the footpath that's been named Whip-ma-whop-ma-gate - what evidence is there that it has that name ?

Mail box - is this a 'new' box ? It doesn't appear on any imagery.

"we should be mapping what is there" - I totally agree - but it's not the OSM style - they label roads by their classification (A,B,C,U) and don't care whether the road is a farm track or a dual carriageway.

Anyway, I've wasted too much of the day on this today but for info I've contacted the CEO of Network Rail, Nottinghamshire Council's Transportation Strategy and Notts City bus co which seems to be the source of the error - so watch this space in peace and harmony !

If the sign is incorrect, get the sign changed rather than duplicating the error on the map.
It works round here, I've had bus stop sign names corrected !

highway=secondary

Accurately fits the bill. Link to smaller town & not part of a major route.

Whether another org. has classified it 'A', 'B', 'C' or anything else is immaterial.

OSM should be a geographic map, not a neurographic one. OSM should not be giving opinions of roads just merely presenting the facts.

and note: "We create maps without copying at all!" - but you seem to want to copy what other maps have done.
