Westcountry mapping on holiday

Posted by Philip on 28 August 2009 in English.

Had a few days with my family in the westcountry and managed to put a significant dent in the mapping of Thurlestone on a bike borrowed from the hotel. It's amazing what you can achieve in a couple of hours in a small village.

Also tracked a few footpaths and other stuff in the area. Quite a delicate balance between recording as much detail as possible (on scraps of paper, I felt a bit like Detective Frost) and not interrupting the family holiday - I think I got away with it...

Looks good, last year rather than interrupting the family's Cornish holiday I used mapping to take breaks away from them in the cottage. osm.org/go/erUP0hu9--
