A couple of days ago I've drawn a few buildings (e.g. way osm.org/browse/way/119774654) close to another in a block, in a changeset/8591706, which contains many other buildings and sidewalks and tracks - yet just especially these 5 buildings' corners are highlighted with thick red circles whenever displayed in Potlatch2 editor.
Some buildings' ways share their nodes, but many nodes are used just once and one building is completely separated. I've tried to find out (checking the ways' nodes, using KeepRight (http://keepright.ipax.at/report_map.php), trac, wiki, etc.) the reason, but found nothing. Such circles can be occasionally seen around.
Does anyone know the reason?

This means "duplicate node" - aka two nodes exactly on top of each other. This probably is a bug in an editor somewhere, rather than your fault. So to fix it (in Potlatch 2) then grab the outline of the building and drag it away. You'll see there's another (identical) building underneath. Delete the one your dragged away.

Thanks, I've corrected it.
(And I'd very like to know why/how it happened. But possibly not even ....... knows?)

how it happened? probably not your fault. But it can happen that an editor loses it connection when uploading and tries again to send it. Sometimes the first try did succeed, so you get 2 exact same uploads.

I do not have the slightest idea. I have been creating sidewalks and buildings and saving each 15-30 minutes into the same changeset. Now I've looked at it (e.g. this building's history osm.org/browse/way/119774652/history) - all points are from 15:33 and the building outlines were saved both 15:33 and 15:55 (I've then somehow removed the first outline).
