Well done for spotting that missing path. I wandered round Sandwich for some time, taking notes and photos. One thing I didn't record - is there vehicle access under a building to the northwest of your path:
osm.org/?mlat=51.276159&mlon=1.340678#map=19/51.276158/1.340678 Sure there was, but I did not photo that...

Thanks for that. If you drive toward the car park, there is a gate on the line of the old railway, and a cleared (but obviously private) path leading over the disused bridge. Railways, whether used or disused, make a significant contribution to the local land appearance - particularly with embankments. Yep, my mistake on the brook water area. Thanks for fixing.

Hi. Noticed you'd added Cartbridge Basin to the Canal. Needs some water in it - look at the marina by Pyrford Lock. cheers.

You Wrote: "Changes to canal towpath - it is part of National Cycle Route 41 - so not a footpath (see Sustrans website for map)." when changing my classifications. I think you are wrong because the land is owned and managed by C&RT (not Sustrans) and, unless there is a Designated Footpath or Bridleway along this Towpath, All Use is 'Permissive'. When you next visit this area, please observe the C&RT signs at each bridge which show that Cycle and Pedestrian use is 'Permissive'. C&RT have permitted Sustrans to route NCR41 here . Also you are incorrect to use the term 'Cycle Path' when the standard now is 'Cycle and Foot Path'.

Hi. The path between Kingway shops and ASDA is segregated along some of the route alongside the rec. Not sure which bits. And well done for calling this a 'Path' - few Kingsway paths are signed as cycle routes - but most are NOT signed as 'cycling prohibited' - and most cyclists bike on all of them!

Hi, Manor Farm's garden has been described as 'Manor' - but 'Manor' is a Building (historic=manor?uselang=en-GB) - surely the Manor House is the 'Manor' and the grounds could be 'Garden'?

Visited the Tidenham Tunnel today, but could not find the footpath mapped as coming down from the road to the tunnel south entrance: Way: 924939336

At last visit (2018?) you could not pre-book and had to take a chance on arrival - hence reservation=no. I do not know if this is still the case.

Thanks for your comment. However, I think your gps has a slight error. In any case, you need to address the fact that your re-aligned cyclepath goes through the old Bradwell Road railway platform. The embankments here would make it some way in from the edge of the woodland.

Hi DaveF. I am confused as I find pubs as buildings everywhere around (Bristol, Bath, BradfordOnAvon). Wiki: amenity=pub says: "establishment that sells alcoholic drinks that can be consumed on the premises"; "beer_garden=yes - The pub has a garden where customers can sit outside"; "outdoor_seating=yes - The pub has outside seating, possibly café-style". They are only a business with a garden outside, a bit like hotels, cafes etc. Hospital says "Draw an area around the grounds" (because it is usually many buildings?) - wiki Pub does NOT say this. Did your scheme come from before buildings were commonly drawn? Regards Mike

Hi. You have done some landuse NE of Foxhangers Marina. It appears you have defined some areas as barrier=hedge AND landuse=farmland. This renders as a field full of hedge, because hedge can be an area. I think it is normal to define hedges as lines and then add areas of farmland / meadow. Areas may be more than one field.

Thanks for that. Yes, I agree, for footpaths you only have to add designation =publicfootpath if there is a sign - the rest is default. I have gone around the area and set footpaths back to default. Bit of trouble with driveways and tracks where a ROW runs along it - have to set motors (and assumed) bicycles and horses to private unless signposted: I have seen some debate on whether to set All=private and then Foot=designated OR ignore All and set motors etc individually (I tend to the latter). mike

Hi, I see you are doing occasional updates in the Forest of Dean. You may notice that I did landuse and paths around Woolaston, but extended this towards Bream and Lydney. Your name came up with the Lydney Residentail Area to the East of the River. Are you planning to work to the West of the river? I have just been looking into Lydney Park, that has been mapped as a 'Manor' - which is a house... Regards Mike

Hi Alex, you appear to be the originator of 'Lydney Park' - but it is on OSM as 'Manor'. Wiki defines manor as a building. It also does not render... Would this be better represented as 'park'? Cheers,

You show a bridge on the B4058 over the railway line west of Iron Acton:- Way: Bristol Road (106328879) - I believe this is a light-controlled railway crossing. Regards

Hi trigpoint. I'm not a local to the Llangollen Canal but I've visited quite a lot, and done walks. It was sparsely mapped. I couldn't visit this area but on Esri Images it appears as undulating ground with scattered trees. I use the mapping principle that: if it's ploughed it's farmland, if it's grazed or shows contour variation or wear it's meadow, or if it's part of a manor it's private parkland. My aim, from Llangollen to Ellesmere was to define Something for all surrounding landuse - if you have local knowledge then please change anything.

Hi, I was going to add more detail to the Gloucester Metz Way Morrisons store and I found a Railway Corridor (Way: 31951443) that covers quite a lot of non-railway area, including the new commercial railway triangle area. As you added it, this is to let you know - but I can change it if you don't object.

I would not map pavements as footpaths unless there is a significant grass strip between the road and the path - or if the path is a cycle route - any opinion?
