Yes, it seems that a lot of international rail lines are being canceled in France, I think also the Nice - Geneve has been either canceled or deleted. It's probably due to the rail reform, but we'll know in the next months I guess

Thanks for the lifecycle link, I wanted to check if a specific tag should be used to mark the end date, but it seems clear that OSM does not include historical data, and the Thello seems to be one.
