over 1 year ago | I was on a train that had a long stopover in the Aachen train station, and I opened Go Map!! while we were sitting there stopped. I saw a bench next to me outside of the window and was surprised that I could also see it on the satellite imagery, so I added it. I then also slowly added the others. But it's possible that I misunderstood entirely. I actually can't get that imagery to load any longer in the app, so it's difficult to double check. If you live in the area and you know where the benches should be, feel free to move them around. I likely won't be back down to Aachen for a while to correct it in person.
over 1 year ago | Hi there! I can see them, and they all seem to be offset the same amount, so I'm wondering if we're both looking at different imagery? I added them using GoMap!! and they appeared to be directly on the benches when I added them. Are you able to confirm which imagery you're looking at? To be honest, I'm also a bit unclear which imagery was used in the app. Do you see that in the changeset anywhere? Maybe I'm simply missing it.
almost 3 years ago | Hi Habi, thanks for reaching out. I'm super unclear how this changeset ended up crossing the USA to Europe. From my remembering, I think I'd straightened a road in Utah. I'd like to avoid this happening again, but I'm really not sure what I did. If you have any insight, please let me know!
over 4 years ago | Hey, I've looked into it a bit, but I've only been able to find out that the local name is supposed to be 'Fanesy' which means something like 'your eternal place'. I'll see if I can change them in the meantime to tomb = vault.
over 4 years ago | My understanding is that it is a wall like structure, sometimes with a building structure in the middle of it, sometimes not. I'm not entirely certain if you can enter them, but they look like this: https://www.123rf.com/photo_14597734_antandroy-traditional-tomb-in-southern-madagascar.html From the aerial imagery, you can often tell it's a grave due to the low shadows on the ground, and they often are bigger than the buildings, which are small and brown, and you can see images of here: https://www.flickr.com/photos/126636925@N06/sets/72157719022097900/ So maybe tomb is the correct tag?
over 4 years ago | Hey! Thanks for the message! I'm unclear what the valid tag should be. I searched in the presets in JOSM and the group I was working with suggested this one. We were trying tag all the graves by putting nodes on them and then tagging the nodes so that no one would draw them as buildings. What would you suggest? Thank you!
