Just a small suggestion. User tracks are displayed in a very light feint blue - on many backgrounds they are very difficult to see! How about a slightly brighter trace?

No, I was using the Potlatch editor - I’m new to this, but failed to get the iD editor to work for some reason.

Hi, have a look at JOSM, everything there is customisable. You can make your tracks whatever colour you wish.
