A couple of weeks ago I went exploring from Oxford along the Shakespeare's Way walking route, to see if I could link up the various segments that had already been mapped south of the city, and through the Baldons, Stadhampton, etc. I ended up extending the route as far as Chalgrove.

Yesterday I took the bus out to Chalgrove to continue the route south, through Brightwell Baldwin, Britwell Salome, and a section of the Ridgeway, getting as far as the bridleway going south-east out of Cookley Green. I then had to turn off the trail and race the fading of daylight to reach a bus stop at Nettlebed.

At Cookley Green the route shares paths with the Chiltern Way for a little while, so I've added the sections in question to both route relations.

Good work, Neil.
Brightwell Baldwin and Britwell Salome are favourite places that have continued to delight me since discovering them many years ago. I could picture the walk, almost, just reading one familiar name after another.
