| 170920824 | 4 months ago | Ignore my reply above. I think I will propose bus_stop:type=* for this. Thanks for your advice |
| 170920824 | 4 months ago | I think I would add pole=yes to every flag stops, without removing the flag=* key in this case. For totem stops though, I don't think sub-tags for pole= can accomodate this since those totems are not "pole" I will discuss this in Indonesian OSM Telegram. |
| 170920824 | 4 months ago | Hello. I want to differentiate tagging scheme for different sign types here. In Bandung, we have regular poles (like the one on the link that you sent), flags (uncommon in OSM, but the wiki exist), and totem. The reason why I do this is because they have different level of info displayed, for example totems has more detailed info and bigger then flag signs, while poles mostly has no info. Totems also have no lighting, no USB charger port, and more difficult to see for afar compared to flags. I think it is important to separate the tags so transit passengers would be able to know what they are searching for when looking for bus stops. My community organization once made an Instagram post about Bandung's transit signage here: https://www.instagram.com/p/CLjFCHtMAbe/
