When mapping crosswalks, please don't forget to connect crosswalk to the relevant road. :)
Also, crosswalks controlled by traffic lights should be tagged as crossing=traffic_signals
While crossing=marked is intended for "STOP" crosswalks.

You are correct, I shouldn't have said "invalid".I was thinking of uri= tag instead.
Nonetheless, url= tag is more ambiguous. It's better suited as a suffix tag.

On that page it states: "it is advised not to use this tag when more specific alternatives are available such as website=* or contact:website=*, image=*, wikipedia and=* so on."

But please don't map steps along their width the way I've seen elsewhere in the area. That's also incorrect.

But that is misleading and mistaging, especially when it comes to wheelchair or other accessible routing. Not every square millimeter of walkable surface needs to be covered by some sort of area.
