Hello.
When drawing such features, where appropriate, please consider making them square/right angle so that it looks neater and more accurately represent the actual layout.πŸ™‚

"team_handball" is a wrong sport here. This is "american_handball"

Do those speed signs look new, as in the speed limit was recently changed?
The website says their data is current as of 6/30/2022

But if you want to be that nuanced, you'd need to find out how exactly given panels are wired, if it's all one big circuit or a few separate ones and then create relation out of correct panels😝

I do also see a metal plaque on the wall on the north side of Ave M right under train overpass. So that kinda further confirms that it's between E15 and Elm Ave

I see the street sign. However, it is not fit the whole area here. Such memorial street names are usually for 1 or two blocks. So I can see Ave M segment between E15 and Elm Ave or E16 getting that as alt_name= tag.
I also see parks sign, but that's not an actual proper name of that plot of grass. It's the name of NYC Park department program to greenify the city.

I am plenty outside.
I will go there today. Where is that sign?

It is irrelevant what's on Google Maps since you can't use it to map in OSM due to incompatible licenses and copyright violation.

Wouldn't it be more appropriate to use ref= tags for these parking lots rather than naming them 1 and 2?

A ferry terminal shouldn't be attached to the outline of pier. It should be inside the perimeter of it. I fixed it up for you.πŸ™‚

Hello.
When adding features to the map, please pay attention that you don't attach them other features unless it's appropriate. In this case it's unlikely that a UPS dropbox is part of a building's wall or a bench is part of a pier shape itself.
I corrected these issue for you, but please try to avoid gluing/snapping things together unless it is actually like that. πŸ™‚πŸ‘

Hello.
Rather than outright delete recently-closed biz, it's generally better to use lifecycle prefixes as documented in osm.wiki/Lifecycle_prefix πŸ‘

Hello.
You updated Fairfield library's street as "C-625". Could you please elaborate on that? That doesn't seem like a proper street name.

Hello.
When adding color or other tags, please ensure that they are in lower case. There are few exceptions, such as proper names, which can be capitalized, but wast majority of tags should be just lower case. πŸ‘

It's not about living in NY, it's about following the guidelines of OSM and noticing when iD's template warnings are incorrect. πŸ™‚

Hello.
When editing, it's generally better to try update existing features to the current state rather than delete them and create new features. This way you are preserving history of that feature which can be useful to refer to in the future if the need arises. πŸ‘
