Your home town stretches across the Atlantic Ocean and cover 3 continents?๐Ÿคจ
When make edits please limit to specific geographic areas, such as neighborhoods or cities or regions at most.

Hello.
So what is this building now? A synagogue or a residential building or what?

I'm not sure if it makes sense to change the surface to a trademarked brand name rather than a generic term..๐Ÿค”

This is not a correct way to map traffic lights.

Hello.
This lane count doesn't appear to be accurate. Satellite imagery shows that it's 2 lanes in one direction and 1 in the other, so should be 3, not 2.
Could you please elaborate on why did you put 2?

Hello.
When mapping sidewalks along straight streets, please make as such, without extra intermediate nodes. Such extra nodes needlessly bloat the database and make your mapping look janky.
Also please make sure that you map sidewalks along each street as individual ways, not a single loop around the whole block.
And finally, when mapping intersections, please make sure to accurately tag what kind of crosswalk that is as both a way and a node that intersects the street itself.
If you have any questions, feel free to ask. ๐Ÿ‘

Hello.
Is "East Rockaway Inlet at Reynolds Channel" the official name of this feature or something that you came up with?

Hello.
Instead of outright deleting a closed biz, it's much better to use "disused:" lifecycle prefix as documented on osm.wiki/Lifecycle_prefix or at the very least delete just the biz-specific tags but leave address info intact. Doing that not only preserves the history of this node, if there's ever a need to refer to it in the future, but it also keep the address searchable and routable.

Hello.
It doesn't make sense creating unnamed landuse=residential if we have more details in the form of mapped buildings, especially individual landuses around single buildings. It doesn't really add any useful detail to the map.

Hello.
You replaced 4 separate buildings with a single one on 68th Drive. This doesn't seem to be correct. Looking at the deleted buildings, they each had their own unique BIN number in NYC's DOB database. Furthermore, looking at this area in Zola there are 4 different plots of land with different owners.
Could you please elaborate why did you combine them?

Hello.
Please note that it's very important to accurately tag crosswalks whether they are with traffic lights or STOP signs. If you can see "STOP" written on the pavement, that means it's not traffic lights.
Incorrect crosswalk tagging can give inaccurate routing/navigation information, which can be dangerous, especially for people with no or low vision.

If you are not sure what kind of crosswalk that is, please don't just randomly pick any. Try to switch to different satellite imagery imagery which might show you more details(though please be aware that some is older than others), or you can also use Bing Streetside imagery to better see such intersection from the ground level.
If you still can't determine what kind of crosswalk that is, just leave it generic pedestrian crossing and let others add more details later.

So instead of deleting it, why not correct it? ๐Ÿคจ

143840599 about 2 years ago

Hello.
When mapping sidewalks that run along straight streets, try not to add intermediate nodes where it's not necessary. If a street is straight its sidewalks should have just 2 nodes at the corners.
For example, here along Taylor Street the sidewalk that you added has 3 unnecessary nodes.

Adding extra nodes is not wrong, but they don't add any useful details, bloat the database size and if not positioned perfectly in-line make your mapping look sloppy.

Hello.
Once again, please note that feature description should go into the feature's name= tag. There's no need to name a sidewalk Sidewalk since that's already indicated in its other tags.

Hello.
I reverted this changeset due to numerous problems.
A foot path should not be named "footh path". Unless it has an actual proper name, a description of a feature should NOT go into its name= tag.
Additionally, you mapped this foot path crossing many obvious fences and none of it matches the actual satellite imagery.
could you please elaborate what you were trying to do here?
