Even at low resolutions, even a short speck of a “national” route in Iceland is visible. And the site offers maps for Mountainbiking as well as commuting/touring. The people at openpistemap might get some inspirartion there. It seems so far they do not show Cross-country pistes ?

All kind of ski pistes are there, and crosscountry routes too colored to their marking color, along with routing, elevation profile, piste search by name …
The map is updated every day.
