Yes, Alex :-) Without that view using the openstreetmap data mapping pistes would be much less useful. Thanks for pointing it out though. I appreciate that. Have you seen Waymarkedtrails http://cycling.waymarkedtrails.org/en/?zoom=4&lat=65.06909&lon=-19.89416&hill=0 Even at low resolutions, even a short speck of a “national” route in Iceland is visible. And the site offers maps for Mountainbiking as well as commuting/touring. The people at openpistemap might get some inspirartion there. It seems so far they do not show Cross-country pistes ? - Morten

Have a look at www.opensnowmap.org. All kind of ski pistes are there, and crosscountry routes too colored to their marking color, along with routing, elevation profile, piste search by name … The map is updated every day. Yves webmaster at opensnowmap.org
