Inaugural State Of The Map Conference Nigeria 2022 was super amazing experience and moments I ever share with folks in my entire life. I’ll like to seize this opportunity to share my way to unique mappers network and to Hot#openstreetmappers network. my name is Mamman Ali from Biu local government area of Borno state. I was was introduced to unique mappers network of Nigeria in early 2018, when I was opportune to attend the institute of certified geographers of Nigeria (ICGN) training here in federal university of port Harcourt. with the kind of gesture and hospitality I received from good people of port Harcourt and our humble national coordinator for unique mappers network Nigeria, with the little knowledge and amazing experience I share with people around the unique mappers teams of Nigeria I begin to develop passion and interest mapping and other humanitarian activities that comes intoto my line.

For that encouragement I look forward to introduced humanitarian open street mappers network Nigeria (Hot#osmweb)to Geography department, university of Maiduguri and also connect the national coordinator to Head of my department , my level coordinator in person of Dr Garba sambo G.I.S and remote expect, currently researching in lake Chad basin area of Maiduguri, Borno state. I strongly work hand in hand with them to create unimaid mappers team of Nigerian. Unimaid mappers team is the first mapping compus in whole the northern Nigeria after Yola mappers team, with the kind of commitment and super amazing passion I have for mapping and other humanitarian activities I involved my self, our national coordinator finally appointed me as North east coordinator for unique mappers network Nigeria. I finally honored the appointment of . were I have privilege and opportunity to show case my research work on Spatial Data Analysis On open defecation free (ODF) I was unable to present my research work well due to technical issue I have with my system ( computer). The amazing part of the state of the map conference twenty twenty two(2022) is very educative and the experiences was amazing to me also I was connected to almost 70 percent of people attend the state of the map conference and those attend online also, on behalf my Unimaid mappers team Nigeria I want to seize this opportunity request technical support from hot#openstreetmappers Africa for proper supporting encouragement to support open data access to our various area. basically to local organizing committee of port Harcourt and lion mappers team, Enugu compus is very exciting moments to interact and share knowledge with them. I seriously gained alot from them. Feedback from state of the map conference I strongly promise to take hot#osmafrica to next level when it comes to coordinating and connecting people to Osmnetwark,we almost conclude the paper work for the creation another compus here in Nigerian Army university Biu (Naub) we are working forward to do official announcement for open ceremony of Nigerian Army university Biu, Naub mappers compus Biu. looking forward to our local organization committees (LOC) presentation I sincerely admire and acknowledge the HOPEFUL Bafamodei research open mapping on humanitarian response to flood of yenagoa, and that of chicoco mappers team I leaned alot of there presentation. With all the distance and transportation challenges, travel gran committee make it possible for our returning trip via flight to various destination’s finally we safely arrived home successful.
