So half of it was perfect, and the second half might as well have been drawn in crayon. All i did was recreate features more accurately and labeled correctly and he got his panties in a bunch. Next time i come across that i will try the area=yes. From what i read you have to select the end node and reconnect it to the first node, right click and select merge or “c”. But everytime i tried that merge was greyed out as an option. So i deleted the feature and remade it. I did them one at a time so its not like i deleted and entire section at once.

So thats the issue, as far as golf features go fairways, greens, tee boxes, sand traps all need to be “areas” otherwise they cannot be tagged in a way the editor software will recognize. I say line bs area since i edit in my web browser and i have to choose between point, line, or area. If i close loop a line, i cannot label things correctly, my software doesn’t recognize it and i cannot receeate the course for tgc 2019

I tried doing that, but it would not let me merge it into an area, therefore the proper labels could not be applied to say a fairway or a green. On too of that the original work was horribly sloppy. Splines didnt line up even close with land features in both shape or location. Some were 30-40 yards away from where they should have been. I just asked him why he was busting on me instead of the person that originally did the horribly done editing. He might have been the original editor idk. But the front 9 was flawless and the back 9 looked like it was done by a kindergartner

So in that instance, splines were WAY off in shaoe and location. They used closed lines instead of the area tool so the proper labels werent available, and it would not let me merge the line into an area so they were just a closed loop of a line.

And not trying to be rude, but as we soeak i have another guy ripping me up for fixing a course where splines didnt even come close to lining up to features, they had everything done incorrectly. It was easier to just delete features and recreate them one at a time. And he is pissed because i didnt edit them i remade them

Wont happen again

Undersrood. If tou guys are going to get on me for that, you should get in the people that do a horrible job splining and use a connected line instead of an area. I would think that would make more of a downstream issue

And I have already fixed it. I only needed it that way temporarily for it to show up in my course design editor

It would not let me change a line into an area. For golf festures a fairway, bunker, green, etc cannot be a line that is connected, must be splined as an area. How about you contact the person that did it incorrectly in the first place.
