Hello iriman, the tag should be for the node "shop=grocery" not a supermarket. since it's a very small shop and the name clearly says "اسواق" which is like a small grocery shop.
There might be grocery stores that have a sign that says "سوبرماركت" these stores should be added as grocery stores, not a supermarket but add the name as is in the name tag, for example, https://i.ibb.co/1rQWqrr/Example.jpg
I don't know if you guys are familiar with supermarkets in Iran but a supermarket, in general, is like a regular store but usually Big in size and has everything in the food sections like Bato or Cozmo supermarkets around Baghdad, when it gets bigger it would be called hypermarkets like ABC hypermarkets which you can buy household items and home appliances, anything smaller than the supermarket it should be tagged as convention store or grocery store.
Lastly, I asked about the source because I thought you're source was google maps since it was also mapped wrong there as a "supermarket" and google maps is not an acceptable source here in OSM, not sure about YouTube though.
Best Regards and keep up the good work!

Hello iriman,
In the photo it says “اسواق" which mean a small convenience store not سوبرماركت supermarket.
what is the source of this photo?

122763047 over 3 years ago

Hello iriman, What is the source for node/9841693861 that you added in this changeset?
I'm pretty sure there is no "supermarket" in this street base on local knowledge of the area, there might be couple small shops but not a supermarket.
Regards.

Hello Aleksandar1994, please, can you use the naming method we the local mappers agreed to use in Iraq next time?
The naming would be like XXX-YY
XXX is محلة, YY is زقاق. This format is the approved one by the community, and is used in all cities where the names were added, like Erbil, Baghdad, Sulaymaniyah, and Next month all of Mosul (I hope if I got time)
If you have street name data, please share it so I can help add them all. Thanks

Hi highflyer74,
Thank you for your comment! About the invalid spaces I fixed that the other day in changeset/122705244
And about the tag I saw it here: osm.wiki/Item:Q8539
And you can see it here too:
https://taginfo.openstreetmap.org/keys/license_plate_code
So what's your suggestion to improve things if things needs improvements?
Regards.

Please stop adding your initials in the name tags

121722590 over 3 years ago

Reverted, please don't delete outer line from relations, that will break them.

122456432 over 3 years ago

Reverted, as I told you in changeset/122137149 , you can add the 2nd one as alt_name:ar, as the name:ar should be for the Arabic language speakers and the Arab locals who live in the area. in OSM the on ground-rule matters, so this is how it should be mapped.
Wikipedia is not an acceptable source in OSM, and you can't name features based on Wikipedia.
I will fix your edit again, please don't change anything without prior discussion.
If you keep going with this behavior I will be forced to report your edits to Meta and the DWG here in OSM.
Regards.

Hello Omotesando,
It was correct the way it was before, one way, the road is opposite way from the highway exit.
there is a tilted concrete barrier so the cars only exit and merge with the cars coming from the highway and go southwest to the junction.
Here is the best picture I found to show you https://www.facebook.com/photo?fbid=861364784737363
Please don't assume the ways, I fixed this 5 days ago and you now undo the fix? You could have just commented on my changeset asking for local knowledge in the area.
I will revert this changeset.

Yes and that would be:
alt_name:ar= أروندكنار

If you're certain that almost all Persian language speakers worldwide not just Iran call this area as that, then the tag would be loc_name:fa, I guess.
The alt_name wiki says
"alt_name=* is sometimes used to store multiple semicolon-separated names, but if possible it should be avoided by using other name tags listed above."
And yes, one of the above is "loc_name" so yes, loc_name fits better actually.
alt_name=*
Regards.

122240212 over 3 years ago

no, loc_name described in the wiki as "locally recognized name" but there is no one locally recognized one" as the local people some say "بين الحرمين" others say "بين الحضرتين" others say "بين المشهدين" others say "بين الامامين" others say "بين العباس والحسين" and many many other descriptive terms, there is no one local name everyone uses.
to simplify things, add them all in the description tag so one particular tag is favorable.
Regards.

iriman,
As I told you before, a generic term or description name for an area is not ok to add as a name for an area, it must be added as a description, this is clearly explained in: name=*#:~:text=Do%20not%20use%20name%3D*%20if

The name that was added was "بين الحرمين" which translated to "between the 2 mosques" or "between the 2 shrines" as you want to translate it, either way, is a descriptive name of an area, not an official name.
The tags were:
"name=بين الحرمين" which translates to "Between the two mosques" is a descriptive name.
"name:fa=بين الحرمين" same as above, the persian language uses the same word for mosque as Arabic.
"name:en=Bayn al-Haramayn" is "Between the two mosques" but written in Arabic with the English alphabet.
"alt_name:en=Bainul Haramain" same as above.
"alt_name:ar=بين الحضرتين; بين المشهدين" is "Between the two mosques" in Arabic but written in 2 different wording for a mosque, as the name means between the two mosques and this one means between the two shrines and between the two holy places etc. which is a descriptive term.

You say "but Bayn al-Haramayn is a name for a place in Iraq.", but this is wrong, it is not the official name, for example in Iraq when people say "I'm going to misnaya, انا ذاهب للمسناية" or "I'm in misnaya" we know they are going or at the Safina district in Adhamya, where there is an ancient brick historic ruins called "misnaya" but we don't name the road nearby "misnaya road" cause that road has its official name in the official maps by the government/Municipality.

The official name of roads in Iraq as I Shawn you previously it's a numeral type of naming, like xxx-xx which x is a number. You can add this and it would be correct, but you can not add a descriptive term of an area as a name tag.

Regards.

iriman, you can keep arguing just like the last time, and I'm not gonna continue replying and waisting my time if you're not learning or understanding..
About the gate, it was part of the wrong changeset you did, that I reverted in full, the gate is the only thing not wrong in your changeset. Feel free to add the gate again, without any other wrong POIs.
And lastly, I find your last statement is absolute disrespectful, shame, I don't know what you're talking about, that's ludicrous and absurd. You can not just accuse such things. I'm not replying to this nonsense anymore. peace.
