Changeset When Comment

Hi again,
All gates for all neighborhoods share the same RFID tag system so all of them shall be the same access value.
In my opinion, 'permit' is also wrong, it might sound right because of the RFID thing but anyone can enter through the guest path by saying hello to the guard and tell him I'm going to pick up someone or visit a friend here. Delivery, mail, and taxi drivers can enter any of these gates without having a permit issued for them from any of the administration offices "مكتب الادارة المحلية"
I see using access=permissive for the gates as more fitting, the wiki say "An object, or way, is open for general public use, but access is not protected by law. An owner of the object, or way, may revoke access without following a legal process." and the roads inside those neighborhoods are not serviced, cleaned or paved by the Basra Government Municipality but with local private company that due the services and the local admin office can or issue any order there, not the gov municipality.
Regards.

Hello little_maper,

I went to this neighborhood many times, last time was 2 weeks ago. I went to Al-amaal الأمال, al-amal الامل, Al amal 2 الامل2" and Al amal 3 الامل3 which is finished construction except for the apartments at the end of the neighborhood.
The main road got paved in the last month and now it's 2 way until they finish the other side so the main road become 2 way road.
I have videos I filmed from inside the neighborhood from the beginning to the last video was about 2 weeks ago.
So now you know I was editing with on-the-ground knowledge and survey.

I removed the private tag for 2 reasons:
1-Anyone can enter, there are 2 entries and 2 exit ways for each neighborhood to the main road, one entry is for residents the liftgate opens automatically by an RFID sticker on the windshield, and on the guest gate there is a guard who will ask you where are you going, you just tell him like I'm a guest visiting a friend or I'm a delivery man, etc. and the address like "Zone 4, Block 5, C 39 for example and he will click the remote and let you in.
2-Anyone from the other neighborhoods Al-amaal, al-amal, Al amal 2, and Al amal 3 can go to the other neighborhoods without restrictions or going throw gates, thus *making the street of Al Amal 2 not private for the Al Amal 2 residents only*. Even if you were outside your own residence like you are a resident of Al-Amaal and you are on the main outside road, you can enter the gates of Al-Amal 2 as all of the 4 neighborhoods share the same RFID tags on the windshield and the gate will open automatically for you, and soon the other neighborhoods nearby too will share the same RFID.

I hope this explains it to you well.
If you need any help, please reach by, and I will be glad to help.
Regards.

Hello Osm1980, please use good changeset comment that explain what your edit is, so it's easier for people to understand the changeset.
Also please try making your future edits local, as this one was made over a very large area of the map.
Regards.

Survey doesn’t mean eye survey only, it could be asking the people for details and names on the ground.
If the locals and the people at the location can speak a specific language and gave you a name in that language, of the street for example, this name can be added to OSM.
Same example can be done on other examples like opening hours for a park for example, as sometimes there is no signs, but you can confirm and verify it by visiting on those hours, and this can also be done for the street name, you can go and ask someone in Arabic like “hello is this example street?” If he replies in Arabic with “yes correct, this is the example street” then this info is verified on the ground.

You did not answer the question, you removed name:ar without surveying the location and only relied on one far mapillary picture?
Please answer this exact question and do not ignore answering.

You have been doing such edits for years removing valid names even from place=* nodes just because you don't like the specific language even though it's the official language of the country and an official language by law in Erbil and the Kurdistan region in Iraq.
You did the same type of edits days ago when you removed the Arabic name of Barzani Nemir Street while the name you removed is registered in the Erbil Municipality, the official government interties, and can be verified on the ground, example this Arabic receipt of a store in the street has the Arabic name written as the name you removed https://i.ibb.co/ZhksHCT/image.png
Please stop and refrain from such problematic edits.
Regards.

So you removed name:ar without surveying the location and only relied on a one far mapillary picture?
If so, that is not acceptable, and such edits of yours shall be stopped and reverted.

144464993 about 2 years ago

May you answer the question please?
The source you provided here doesn’t justify the removal of name:ar.

Why did you delete name:ar here?

StreetComplete do not support Aerial imagery, how can you edit StreetComplete with Aerial imagery?
Also, Why you ask the locals for surface? Can't you see it with your eyes?
Also, you did not answer my question about alter/change the location of the GPS of your phone so you can edit outside the local area in StreetComplete, did you do that?

143999671 about 2 years ago

Thank you for noticing this! this is a 6+ year old error! Keep up the great work! Thank you again and best regards!

143841002 about 2 years ago

If you don’t answer these two answers specifically, I will be forced to revert your edits as they are based on assumptions not actual surveys.
Regards.

> Why are you asking about something that is not your business.

OSM is an open-source map relying on a community of volunteers via open collaboration, we all map, edit, and validate the data, and if we see something that might be wrong we discuss it. In OSM communication is a key, and users must communicate. Here I'm trying to make sure that your edits are correct and do not violate the rules. So please, answer my two questions:

1- Have you visited all of those countries? Iran, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Azerbaijan, and the others that you edited with StreetComplete? and you survey the surface yourself on the ground, right?

2-You DID NOT alter/change the location of the GPS of your phone so you can edit outside the local area in StreetComplete?

Thank you and regards.

So you 1-visited all of those countries? Iran, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Azerbaijan and others, and you actually survey on the ground, right?
And you 2-DID NOT alter/change the location of the gps of your phone so you can edit outside the local area in StreetComplete?
Please answer specifically. Thank you and regards.
