As I promised myself and the world, the first edit would be my home street. Now it has been done :-)

I decided I would try Merkaartor, and it did not take too much fiddling to create a new (and correct) representation of my home street. I suppose the other streets in the neighbourhood are up next since they are currently either non-existing or incorrect (incorrect name, incorrect path). I suppose they have been created by converting freely available map data at one point in time.

I finally found simple software that will do the job. The GPS Logger has been installed, and tested successfully on my home street :-)

Next step: tagging. But that won't be done this night - it is (past) bedtime.

I downloaded the Vespucci OSM editor for my HTC Hero, and went for a walk. I don't think everything worked flawlessly... I am still not able to figure out if it actually recorded the GPS track or not.... :-)

Hmmm... there it is - under my edits! Well, I still have a lot of figuring out to do!
