To edit an OpenStreetMap (OSM) diary entry, you must navigate to the specific post while logged into your account.

Steps to Edit Your OSM Diary
- Log in to your account on OpenStreetMap.org.
- Click on your username in the top right corner to go to your user profile.
- Click the “New Diary Entry” link (usually located in the menu tab just below your username).
- Find the specific entry you want to change and click on its title to open the full post.
- Scroll to the bottom of the post text; you will see an “Edit this entry” button.
- Click it to open the editor, make your changes, and hit Save.
Important Notes
- Deletion: There is no direct “Delete” button for diary entries. If you want to remove a post, the standard practice is to edit the entry, delete all the text (replacing it with something like “Post deleted”), and save it.
- Formatting: The diary uses Markdown for formatting. You cannot use rich text (like in Word), so you will need to use specific characters for bolding, links, and images.
- Images: You cannot upload images directly to the diary. You must upload them to an external site (or the OSM Wiki) first and then link to them using Markdown:
