How to CUT a part of road ?

Posted by Katanga on 15 March 2011 in English. Last updated on 22 March 2011.

Hello, i found an error in the village map.
There is a part of street joining two differents ways.
I'ts wrong,i need to cut and delete this part of way from the map.
But when i use scisors to cut the twoo end nodes i'ts impossible de separate the wrong way from the two others (good) ways.
How can i cut and delete this short wrong way ?
See the map marker please. (street: rue Culot-Haut wrong joining)
Thanks a lot :-)

You need to cut twice to create a 3 parts road, and then delete the middle part.

I create extra nodes by drawing a second road, intersecting in the spots that I want to snip at. Then, i delete my temporary road. Then do the snipping in the newly created nodes.

Pressing the ESC button, deselects an entire way, and highlights the node you last clicked on... then you can press the delete button to delete the node you want to delete.

Thank you Thomas and alexz.
I have change Potlatch 1.4 for Potlatch 2 and fix this problem easily !
So now i will test JOSM PL2 because i have problems creating NODES between connected roads ... :-)
