Dear all,

since the weather has become bad in the last days, I was able to incorporate the feedback I received over the last months.

Besides elevation data it shows now also track distance and time as well as having a cursor feature which shows you the corresponding profile point in the map.

Please find further information here: osm.wiki/JOSM/Plugins/ElevationProfile

Your feedback is appreciated.

Have fun,
Oliver

Wrote my first plugin

Today I get rid of Eclipse and managed to submit my first plugin to import the proprietary csv format provided by the Columbus V-900 GPS logger.

Get it here: http://web.me.com/oliverwieland/Website/JOSM_files/ColumbusCSV.jar

The V-900 is the real must-have-gadget for mac users (like me). Or - in other words - people who value design more than functionality or fair prices ;-)

The latter version seems to be true, as the data interface of the V-900 is a p..c. of sh.t. The only way to grab the tracks on a mac is to eject the mini SD card, put it into your USB slot and copy the CSV files on your box.

The next problem arises when you would like to see these data in JOSM. No problem for Windows users, but if you are on a Mac, you are screwed. This plugin helps.
