When I found out what a good cause OpenStreetMap was, and saw how barren the map was for Fortuna, CA in 2021, I made a game / personal project of improving the local map.
I find i like to use Vespucci to add features in my town that I’m only vaguely familiar with, based on satellite. Then I use StreetComplete and Vespucci to fill in the finer details, in person, during my walks!
On Mapillary, I pride myself in making sure the compass and position info for my images is correct, to increase how easily the images can be used to edit OSM.
