There's lots of different types of "connecting" problems, so it's difficult to imagine what kind you're facing. Somewhere here in the potlatch primer are probably the answers you seek, but it can take a little patience to get the hang of editing when you're untangling and sorting out existing data. If you link to the map, in the area where you're stuck, we can give you some specific hints ...or fix it for you, although that's cheating :-)
