Well, I like the idea of participating in creating a world map very much and I started in my own neighbourhood, but I have now a lot of questions which all came up in an hour or so of working with it and all of them couldn't be answered by the wiki, the faq or the forum.

1) How do I connect two roads of a different class?

2) Why are only parts of my creation visible in Osmarender. (I’m still waiting on Mapnik). All of the houses (landuse: residential) don't show up, but two business buildings (landuse: industrial) do.

3) Why can’t I change stuff from AND? Well, I can change but they don’t save!

Question 1 I posted on the forum; let’s see what happens…

What do you mean by roads of a different class? Do you mean joining a highway=primary road to a highway=secondary? Just make the first road end and the 2nd road begin on the same node.

What osmarender and mapnik render is due to what the renderers want to show or have gotten around to show. Likely osmarender doesn't show residential buidings because they would overwhelm the map.

I have no idea about the AND data, having never mapped in the Netherlands. I would see if another nl user can help you.

Hi CoreyBurger,

Thanks for commenting!

1) I found it out, but entered it in a new comment.
2) I made a stupid rather laughable mistake here. I tagged it landuse:residential, while the buildings are already in a section with that class and an object on top of another, but with the same color won't show up of course! I just removed that tag and created a building:yes tag. Will that do the trick?
3) Of course an object is only saved when you deselect it. Something that was mentioned in the video turorial of the wiki.
