| Garmin update. | Even by "just" using OSM and spreading the love you immensely help this project. It's great to hear from a random normal ;-) person how OSM makes them happy. |

| Searching for HannesHH | Hi, I really cannot help you further. I despise Google and thus will not even try to understand how their map stuff works. You should find examples about setting markers in the OpenLayers documentation if you decide to go that route. |
|
| gozimmer.net | Forgot mention, you can switch the data by clicking on the + sign on the far right. |
|
| gozimmer.net | Ah, now I seem to understand. You want to use http://convivial-web.com/blog/2009/01/openstreetmapmapplet.html for a public Google map so your visitors can choose to use the OpenStreetMap?
It would be not too hard to do using OpenLayers. OpenLayers is an open-source online map application (just like Google Maps). You can choose what maps it displays and allow users to switch between them. Check out http://openlayers.org/dev/examples/sundials-spherical-mercator.html as example of Google Maps AND OpenStreetMap data. |

| Videos of OpenStreetMap-related talks at Wikimania 2009 | Nice talk. I only had black video in mplayer, but skipping forward a bit fixed it (magick!). |

| I just gave my "OpenStreetMap integration into Wikimania projects" talk at Wikimania 2009 | Black video with audio is here: http://prototype.wikimedia.org/wikimania/dia2/video-c/200908271206-Bjarmason-Open_StreetMap_integration_into_Wikimedia_projects.ogg |

| Prototype of newbie-safe semi-automated edits available | This is really really good. Great fun too. Is "Can't tell" the proper one to use if one does not know or does not mind, so one wants to just "skip"? Are the Yahoo tiles always most zoomed in? |
|
| Why are some people lazy? | I am not sure if you are really talking about GPS tracks or if you called the OSM nodes/ways tracks. Those are two independent things. If you do indeed mean GPS tracks, then the more the better. The Yahoo images actually are sometimes quite inaccurate (at least where I live) so good mapping must be done by multiple GPS tracks here. |

| Open Street Map on FLOSS podcast - now I'm addicted | Great, more people in the US are needed! Welcome aboard. |

| Archeological Site map for Prizren/ Kosovo | Your posts always scare me because I assume you want to import each and everything you find. This is another example of incompatible data or did you get explicit permission? |
