I am planning to get a new mobile phone. Are there any Android/Maemo phones with good GPS builtin? I know some use AGPS, but I would like a good reception even without that. Anything below 10 meters should be good, that's what my old Garmin etrex was like.
edit: Alternatively, can one use bluetooth GPS units with some phones?
edit2: Yes, apparently gpsd runs on Maemo. On Android you can install Debian anyways so there too. Sweet!

I am happy with my HTC legend and the GPS accuracy seems to be good.

If you have a phone with GPS + A-GPS from the 3G network the accuracy can be in the 2-3m range...

I'm using a HTC Tattoo and the accuracy is never better than 4 meters. My standalone GPS unit gets 0.8 meters (sometimes 0.6) accuracy.

My Nokia 900 produces reasonably good traces - not as good as my Locosys GT-11 but accuracy within the 10 metre range. Poorer accuracy may be due to being in my pocket while the GT-11 is on the bike mount. Various applications will record GPS plus you have OSM2go for direct editing.

I went crazy and got a used HTC Desire. Seems very good so far.

6 months later I am not using my etrex anymore. Smartphone is just too convenient and handy.
