| 129804683 | about 3 years ago | You might want to change the road classification to highway=service + service=driveway. BTW - driveways are private and do not need and access tag. |
| 129718955 | about 3 years ago | We don't add parcels to osm. I removed the parcel like building but left the address nodes. If you want to draw in the buildings look for the Maxar Premium Imager under the background icon in the editor. The imagery is fairly recent but not as clear as Bing. I'll send you more info on OSM in a message.

| 129754844 | about 3 years ago | Check out openskimap.org. Their rendering is designed for skiing. Not sure how long before they update openskimap.org but your edits will appear.

| 129755062 | about 3 years ago | #TIP: Don't connect ski runs with wooded areas. The ski run just passes through the wooded area. The reason not to is when you want to improve either the wooded area or the ski run, you the connection can cause problems.

| 129716314 | about 3 years ago | Thanks for getting back to me. I was concerned when I saw that Strava showed high activity on the trail plus it was visible in imagery - or at least parts of it was. Who is doing the restoration? Normally I see this with government held lands not private property. I agree that the trail should be removed if the area is being restored to it's natural enviornment. Otherwise it's best to mark the section of the trail as private with access=private. |
| 129716314 | about 3 years ago | Thanks - I've asked DWG to place a block on the user until they respond. |
| 129692971 | about 3 years ago | This path exists and is widely used see the Strava heatmap imagery. https://www.strava.com/heatmap#17.44/-122.68812/45.86083/hot/all. if the owner has posted no trespassing signs or added a fence then it would be appropriate to tag the section of the path as access=private. But since it exists it should be in OSM just tagged appropriately. If you have any questions on how to property tag it just ask. I'm happy to help.

| 129617022 | about 3 years ago | #TIP: check out the Maxar Premium Imagery in the editor (right hand side using the background icon). You can see the streets in the imagery.
| 129582151 | about 3 years ago | In OSM we typically don't map features that can not be verified such as this downwind paddle route. We do map ferry routes but only as a way of connecting locations for highway systems. I'm recommending that you remove this routes. You might want to check into OpenSeaMap, which uses OSM, to see what they recommend.

| 129572064 | about 3 years ago | #TIP: to add a unit number, just add the tag addr:unit=B instead of adding it on the housenumber.
| 129571899 | about 3 years ago | It look like you inadvertently moved and address node for node/2144891495#map=19/47.65407/-122.35244. Can you move it back to the correct location?
| 129598704 | about 3 years ago | Do you know when they added the gate. I was just in the area this summer and didn't see a gate.
| 129526640 | about 3 years ago | So you are the reason they closed the restaurant :-) |
| 129457032 | about 3 years ago | I think you still want highway=street_lamp
| 129424792 | about 3 years ago | #TIP: OSM uses a key value tagging scheme so we don't have constructs like service=service=construction. See highway=construction for how to map construction of new highways.
| 129424593 | about 3 years ago | #TIP: busways are tagged as highway=busway. See highway=busway for more information
| 129393562 | about 3 years ago | #TIP: These look more like swimming pools than natural=water. Typically we tag these as leisure=swimming_pool. If they are private then add the tag access=private.
| 129380214 | about 3 years ago | #TIP: highway=footway is similar to what we call a sidewalk in the US. Because OSM was started in England we use British English for tags which can be confusing at times. highway=path is what we call a trail in the US. Typically much narrower than a footway. Can you review your edits to see if the trails you added are footways or paths? Thanks. I'll send you more info on OSM in a message.
| 129381046 | about 3 years ago | It looks like you duplicated a section of the footway with the residential road. I went ahead and removed the duplicate sections.
| 129350994 | about 3 years ago | #TIP: save and upload your edit before moving to a distant location. If you ever need to come back to revise your work large changesets are difficult to review.
