| 130579014 | about 3 years ago | It appears in this and the previous edit you left an untagged way. They don't seem to provide any useful function so I deleted them. Let me know if they were for a specific feature.

| 130578786 | about 3 years ago | #TIP: It is custom to leave a short changeset comment, such as added tags to homegrown restaurant.
|
| 130577356 | about 3 years ago | #TIP: we don't use descriptive names like Pole Barn. Instead use the building tag to identify the building as a barn, building=barn and start_date=2019

| 130469392 | about 3 years ago | Ignore my previous comment.

| 130469366 | about 3 years ago | You deleted the eatonvill junction hamlet and changed it to a railway milestone. As I understand milestones they are the signs along railways used by the railway. railway=milestone Hamlets are places where people live. place=hamlet Can you review this edit?

| 130386805 | about 3 years ago | I disconnected landuse from some of the roads. You'll find it easier to update features if they are not connected to unlike features. I changed landuse=forest to natural=woods. Landuse=forest is for areas where they harvest the wood. I typically tag everything as natural=wood instead of forest since wood can be either. natural=wood can also be layered on top of residential landuse which how it is in real life.

| 130390250 | about 3 years ago | #TIP: highway=unclassified is best described as a rural residential road maintained by the government. (OSM was started in England so we use Englands road classification system as well as British English for tags.) Some of these that you tagged look like they should be highway=service. Can you review this edit? I'll send you more info on OSM in a message.

| 130293068 | about 3 years ago | Nice addition. You could improve it by tagging as landuse=farmland the area used to grow plants. Use landuse=farmyard for just the area around the farm buildings. Let me know if you need help

| 130257797 | about 3 years ago | I started out mapping sidewalks as attributes of the street but discovered that routers can't produce a useful path for pedestrians. I then met the Director of UW's Taskar Center for Accessible Technology. They worked out a method to map sidewalks as separate ways which solved the routing problem. They have a website, opensidewalks.com as well as a demo website, accessmap.io which show sidewalks in Seattle and Mount Vernon. We've had a number of conversations on naming sidewalks. I side with the group that feels that software should be able to pick up the name from the nearby street. We are after just a spatial database. I did just talk to the UW Director last week. She was looking for contacts in Portland so they could get the community involved mapping sidewalks there. She was already in contact with some of the TriMet people. You've become very active. I would strongly suggest you join our Slack, osmus.slack.com. We have channels for many topics including Washington State and sidewalks. |
| 130350462 | about 3 years ago | #TIP: Instead of deleting gnis id's merge the data with the building you added. That save the history of the object.
|
| 130257797 | about 3 years ago | Typically sidewalks don't have names. It does make it a pain for routing pedestrians
|
| 130203752 | about 3 years ago | #TIP: Instead of drawing the shop on top of the existing building just add a node where to close to the shop's entrance. Can you review this edit?
|
| 130203622 | about 3 years ago | #TIP: no need to add access=private since driveways are considered private.

| 130203101 | about 3 years ago | Thank you for your edit. I reviewed your work and it looks good. A couple of tips We expand street name in OSM - the reason is software has a hard time unabbreviating. Also the editor should have prompted you to use a preformatted business. Not sure why it didn't.

| 130212341 | about 3 years ago | Thank you for your edit. I reviewed your work and it looks good. There is a way of adding a timeframe using open_hours but I see you deleted the hut in your next changeset. If you would like help with adding huts let me know.

| 130171365 | about 3 years ago | There is an area further south on S. Military Road that looks like it could be the gun range.
|
| 130171365 | about 3 years ago | This app requires that I review everything as good or bad. There is no in between. When I mark it as bad, it may only be that it doesn't fit the OSM tagging scheme. I'll leave a changeset comment with what I found.

| 130171365 | about 3 years ago | Lewis County has no record of this road and the land in the area is owned by a timber company. Can you review this edit? Let me know if you need help. I'll send you more info on OSM in a message.

| 129807628 | about 3 years ago | Thanks for improving Anacortes. FYI Cabana Park was already mapped. Can you change your parks areas back to the landuse=grass? Also landuse=grass and a dog park can coexist. I would suggest adding the landuse=grass back to the dog park. I didn't have a chance to check all of your edits but I'd recommend reviewing your work. |
