yes it is a public road from the andover side, though not open to public motor vehicles

Path is definitely more appropriate than that, since there is at least a traversible way there. I think the Salem and Lowell Railroad should at least be left as path, but way: way/1049704534, and way/9206025 are access roads for the water department.

Hello! My apologies. That is just in fact a typo! The intended tag was just: horse=no. Thank you

StreetSurveyor, these are dirt/gravel access/service roads. They don't appear to be open to the public for vehicle use, but they definitely are "roads" not "paths".

Not a problem! Thanks!

Abandoned railway doesn't render as anything on the map. Changing existing paths or tracks to them is only "removing" those paths from the map.
The tag is a bit controversial: railway=abandoned

perhaps path is more appropriate?

the railway grade here is a gravel access road, though it is definitely closed to public motor vehicle use.

Is path is the most accurate tagging? I don't have an official source but my on the ground impression is that motor vehicles use that way.

The states data (https://maps.massgis.digital.mass.gov/MassMapper/MassMapper.html) seems to indicate the name extending to at least the area of the powerlines. Google names all of it Collins Ave (though I'm not sure how accurate/up to date their data is). My impression has been that at least at one point all of the road was named Collins Ave.

The map you've linked seems to indicate the name ending at building #44. However, I notice that on zoomed out views the name extends past that, to the powerlines, like the state's data.

I know that area has been changed/re-zoned much in recent years. So perhaps the name officially ends once the maintained road ends.

Strangely, the Melrose Fish and Game club, which is actually within the town limits of Saugus, seems to have its address archived as: Collins Ave, Saugus, MA 01906. (https://www.yelp.com/biz/melrose-fish-and-game-saugus)

South of the freight main line, there's actually nothing there. No path, no nothing. The old l&l right of way is "gone". If you were to try to follow it you'd just be bushwhacking through woods. The tunnel under the freight line is filled in with landfill. It's probably best to leave that either as the abandoned railway or as nothing. The paths north of that I've surveyed with gps - I know the area quite well. Cheers!

Hello - some of the old l&l railroad that you've re-tagged as track road is totally overgrown/eroded and has no currently passable right of way. Mostly, I'm referring to the area around the csx main line in tewksbury. Also, the old l&l right of way north of that track is super narrow/single track and has no usage from motor vehicles. I think path is a more accurate tagging.

Hi Andre68 - what was the reason to remove the coastline tag? Because now the islands are not displaying on the map.
