If use this concept I need to change a bunch of roads

I only know highway=motorway_link never used for tunnels in hong kong.

but please check. There will be no relationship with tunnel areas as before sinopec it is not tunnel area. I'm just comparing with many main tunnels in hong kong. If you think your concept is right then you need to change a lot of roads near main tunnels in hong kong.

Noted that the tunnel area (north bound)starts near sinopec and the south bound ends near alice court. It should be trunk road but not highways.

I'm just thinking, Is airport Rd is a separte road like ma on shan road? or a link road? because you tell me Ma on shan rd is a separate motorroad.

Yes, but refer to my eyes, I see 0.0 sign at the bridge, very close to airport road. That means route 8 starts there.

I have changed a little part of this road. you can go to check if there is any problem, as I consider the first part of airport road as the link road with some forks.

hey please check airport road. I think using highway=motorway_link isn't suitable for this road. Airport Road should be a separate road, just like Ma On Shan Road, as the highway section is ended in north lantau highway.
