I inserted several things on the map (post offices, scools, banks, ..) using Potlatch.
The updates are saved but not dispayed on the map.
I still wonder why

Mapnik takes a while to update. Have patience.

My edits aren't vissible too. I suppose it's taking a while longer than usual to render tiles due to the API change. As long as your edits are visible in the history tab or in potlatch/JOSM you are fine.
Just be patient.

Mapnik takes a few hours to update (or every Thursday for sure). Osmarender is also a few hours.
If your impatient then you can check your work here usually in about 10minutes:

This is very good work. Does it update the complete planet or is it restricted in some way
