The images are old now. There has been a great deal of activity since then. I have not been able to get back down to that area to perform new surveys.

This is part of the chdr google issue. We cannot tell if these names are clean. I am waiting for Frederick to determine how he will redact the google inspired way names. I was hoping to start the correction from this change/way version forward. However, Frederick man remove all name tags. I plan to use chdr_... tag as a search target to fix the name tags with tiger 2015 names. The change set and chdr_.. tag will help me fix my area of mapping.

I am not sure what happened here. I was reverting a way that a Russian mapper added in Phoenix.

nammala, Thank you for your concern. The remainin part of Pecos Road is a temporary road while they build the north side of the freeway. I carefully removed the sections per survey. Please see the mapillary traces. The problem is that another mapper added the the road back even though it does not exist.

in change set 50651988, I left this message, "West Chandler Boulevard is available at 08:30 on 27-July-2017. The portion of the road connecting to West Pecos Road is closed for the South Mountain Freeway construction." You added back a segment of Pecos Road that no longer exists. Please also see Mapillary. There is updated imagery too.

Elinorzag I am not sure what you were trying to do with this changeset. I hated to do this but I had to revert your changes because you broke streets and such. I did not have the energy to sort out the issues. Please delete tags and not nodes, if that is what you were trying to do. Perhaps you would like to focus on one area near you.

Don, Hey I got to stand on your shoulders by building on your work. I just added a building tag in place of your area=yes tag. You will see the building you created by area=yes finally render on the map. A tag of building=yes or in my case I set it as building=retail caused your work to display. I notice that you haven't mapped for seven months. Try adding another square over a building like you did in this changeset but use building=yes for starters. Remember to have a good time mapping.

@manings is there any reason for not keeping this way and nodes? The history says that the way only had area=yes. The Imagery looks like a parking lot or a building. It could be that the bank building was to the right.

marquito1987 I just wanted to let you know that I built on your Colter Park edits. I made the changes after taking a bunch of pictures of the area this morning. I wanted to make sure that I didn't miss anything. It is true that the park uses Salt River Project, SRP, irrigation to water the park. That is why there is a large berm at the east end of the park. This is the area of the park where the SRP tunnel runs underneath the park. The berm also holds the water in the park during irrigation. I carefully saved your efforts. For example, the pond that really is just the irrigation area is now the basketball court. That's another problem with using water in the Metro Phoenix area. Mapping intermittent ponds obscures the other features such as the playground and picnic table features. The pond during the irrigation period is just too temporal to leave the area as a pond. Please keep up the the good work and great efforts. Perhaps there are some buildings in the area that you would like to map and such. There is an editathon coming up in April. Shoot me an email and I can tell you the details. The editathon is a great place to learn more about how to edit OSM data.

Thank you for your review of my change set. I reviewed both way/5821562 and way/346449813.
* Of the 314 nodes added to way/346449813, I added 6 new nodes. I could not see their location near the river at the time.
* Of the 136 nodes in way/5821562 you changed 4% or 6.
* I had no problem removing the tiger tags. There was a discussion on the US Mailing list that the Tiger tags once a way has been edit or cleaned up.
* I always set the power pole or tower where the both the shadow and the structure met at the ground.
* So no I have no problems with the changes that I made in this change of 115 ways, 1772 nodes, and 4 relations. It is an area that I loved to drive through either up north through Judith Gap or through Two Dot. As we always joked, "Don't blink when you drive through Two Dot. You'll miss it." There wasn't much in the area when I made the changes. The changes will be useful in maps.me.

1.) Go to the wiki.
2.) In the search area in the top right corner of the screen enter "bar" sans the quotes and hit the enter key.
3.) The page redirects to amenity=bar.
This behavior still exists at 7/22/2015 21:40 US time.

The end of my change set comment--This tag may have to remain.--hints at the problem of bar redirecting to amenity=bar that I was seeing and still seeing.

Now image how your response would be viewed by a brand new mapper who fell into the same issue of the page redirecting? I'd say really hostile. I do understand your frustration. My intention was not to wreck you work. Any chance that you could have sent me a question via the OSM messaging system before resorting to this kind-of forum?

Nice guys comments guys. It shows bunch of religion. How about fixing the wiki then. If I go to the bar page it redirects to amenity=bar. Anyone could have fallen into this problem.

Interesting. iD says that I used Bing when I did not use any imagery. One doesn't need imagery when removing access tags.
