Hello

Since I'm adding using the app organic maps, i don't know if i can use the description field you mention. I'll try on the next one. Second, duplicates will only be created if something is not already showing in organic maps. Perhaps there's a lag in when it refreshes based on new additions? It's worth checking into.

Third, as a traveler, I certainly like to know where's the entrance, how much is it, and is there an alternative entrance where you don't pay. Some travelers have an ethical objection to paying when the money goes to a repressive government or when foreigners are asked to pay 100 times what locals pay. I don't think I ever advocated stealing. If there's a free entrance, people might want to walk in that way. I see "free entry" all over the open street maps data.

Lastly, I don't know how to edit updates. I suppose I'd need a computer. In organic maps it seems impossible.

Hello,
I'm not sure it's possible to add them differently using Organic Maps. Often, the waterfall is coming off a cliff and meeting the river below. I tried to add them as "standalone", but perhaps added some too close to the river?
Thanks,
David

Hello,
Thanks for your message. When I travel, I mark waterfalls, and then later add them to the map using the app Organic Maps. That explains why they come in batches (I add them on long bus rides, based on the locations I previously marked). I consider waterfalls to be a drop of more than 10m. In Norway there are so many. They often drop off the cliffsides and join the river below. They are not just places where the river dips a bit. My reason for adding them to the OSM database is to help other users, in case they want to take a drive full of waterfalls.

I don't know how to respond to comments like these in the app. I received your comment by email and responded when I had my computer again. Hopefully the response wasn't too delayed.

Best,
David
