HOW CAN AN OSM MAP BE UPLOADED TO MIO C220
Posted by Dave Northumberland on 23 June 2009 in English.I live in Nairobi, Kenya, and have a MIO C220 GPS device. After much trying, I can now nicely download tracks, and upload them in to OSM, and the OSM of Nairobi area is now looking good.
But - does anybody know how I can UPLOAD some map tiles from OSM in to my MICO C220. I have spent hours googling trying to find some clues, but no luck so far.

Hi there, great to see OSM contributors all over the world :).
Basically only the Garmin (and possibly Tom Tom and Magellan) map formats have been reverse-engineered so currently OSM can only be loaded onto a Garmin GPS unit in the native Garmin format.
For your GPS your best bet would be unlocking it to allow access to the generic Windows CE environment within the unit, then install something like Gosmore onto it.
Basically, it's not easy. Hopefully somebody else has more information.

It seem that OSMtracker is working on some MIOs:
osm.wiki/OSMtracker
Is it a full windows mobile? Can you install software?
