Should I get rid of the extra roads that I have introduced and just use the straight-on / only turn-left/right rather than restrictions. I guess the reason that I used the extra roads was due to the presence of the pedestrian features in the map (one of which was already there. Keen to help but don't want to undo others' good work.

Hi there NDM. I may have broken something here. IT would be great it you could help me to fix it. I was trying to ensure that it wasn't possible to turn right into Airport Road out of this junction as I was directed this way using a SatNav that takes data from OSM. However, thinking on it, it is possible that the satnav isn't coded properly (NavMii). I assumed that the old road structure had nothing place (this may not have been the case) and started by splitting the road into two and only connecting one side. Having found the restrictions tag I tried that (no_right_turn) but don't think I have implemented it correctly. Do I need to set a 'from' and 'To' tag? How do I do this? Is this the best way? Also did I fix the bus route that I broke correctly. Sorry for all of the questions but still a little new to OSM,
