So my mapping of the streets near my house are now on the map. I can see that it didn't turn out perfect. My old model Magellan GPS is lacking in the accuracy department. Probably because it doesn't get a signal well enough under tree cover to receive enough signals for accuracy. I will have to go out and fix them. Plus I mapped the one way street backwards. Oops.

I am about to add another section to an existing street, and the dilema is that at the intersection itself it is one way exit onto a main street. But the street itself is two way the whole way along. It is just to prevent people from tying up the main road trying to make a left turn into it. How should I add it to the map? A short one-way stretch and then two way road again? That would break the street into 3 parts--the existing stretch, the intersection stub (it is really only a matter of a few feet in real distance, and then the remainder.
Not sure where I set the tag so my username gets added to my additions to the database.
But I am working on Kitchener Waterloo in the triangle between Victoria, Weber, and Queen St. Doing the surveying on foot using an old Magellan 315. A lot of inacuracy, and I am having to re-do a few areas when the trees and buildings are too dense for decent signal reception
