Let me clarify. After a more thorough check, it appears you just added access=cartpath to a residential road which had been mistagged. My apologies. Just a heads up, these shouldn't have been cartpaths. Be on the look out for people mapping things incorrectly to do that golf game export.

Keep up the awesome work resolving the flagged data issues. :)

Cleaned up a user's previous edits for the renderer which were incorrect and damaged the map.

You incorrectly changed a bunch of roads to golf cart paths and added ficticious changes for some reason. This damage to the map has been undone and corrected. Please do not incorrectly change the roads for the renderer or to export to a game.

I have corrected the edits.

You incorrectly changed a bunch of residential roads to golf cartpaths, which is not correct. These changes are being reverted accordingly to correct the map.

Just as a heads up, only abandoned railways with some trace (sleepers, overhead wires, signals, etc.) Should be mapped and they shouldn't be snapped to the roadways (not saying you did), just general information. If there is absolutely no trace left, then the railways shouldn't be mapped. Better alignments are g9od in the meantime.

Abandoned rails need to be transferred over to OpenHistoricalMaps at some point. This could be a really cool project.

Was the bank demolished and then a new building was built over it?

130854541 about 3 years ago

Is there a reason you deleted most of the data and items on the map without adding new info?

I'm not dissing or hating on the edits. Better than nothing, but just a heads up. :D

It's amazing how much of a difference crisp aerial imagery makes. Keep up the good work adding details!

FYI, using the Rapid AI mapper is not really good practice because the quality of the traces is really poor. I redrew a couple of them, but some are way off.

Anna,

Thanks for getting back to me and helping me understand better the workflow. I wasn't aware that Lyft tracked closures AND openings. Thanks for keeping track of it. See you around the maps.

Best,

Is there a reason this area was converted to a way and a note was left on the way (just generic), but not the area or the changeset that generated that area?

I'm trying to understand what was done and whether this area should just be removed. Please advise.

:O

Looks like you dragged a node and a note finally caught it.

Node: 147775677

I've resolved it.

These buildings are not all 12 meters tall, and they aren't traced very well.

Be sure to close out your note when you are done adding it.

129727607 about 3 years ago

When is it supposed to reopen? And will you be following up to "reopen" roads and ensure it isn't forgotten about?

130502392 about 3 years ago

All segments removed have long been overbuilt by roadways (completely free of railway crossings), buildings (no railways going through them) or other infrastructure with no railroad ties, signals or other indications that fall in line with OSM's wiki definition for an abandoned railway.

129617751 about 3 years ago

You can be more specific about what you mean.

If I recall correctly, there was nothing here. If you prefer, I can just add nothing... You're always more than welcome to add further details and refine the data - that is the whole point of OSM.

129804226 about 3 years ago

Only segments that have been obviously overbuilt a long time ago (by parking lots, roadways, buildings, etc.) were removed where there are no remaining sleepers, rails or signals that would meet the definition of "abandoned" railways.

Areas with ground cover (such as trees or bushes) were left intact and untouched since it can't be said with 100% certainty that they do not exist (anymore?).

129622289 about 3 years ago

All segments removed were checked with aerial imagery and confirmed that there are no sleepers, rails or signals remaining to meet the definition of "abandoned". They do not exist (anymore?) and have been largely been overbuilt and replaced by buildings, roadways, parking lots and farmland where there are no remnants from the railway.
