Good catch, and good question.

I didn't add it directly, but it came from the way it was split/extracted from. I think it may have been because one hotel was a node within a different hotels building area?

way/1032659637/history/2

I went ahead and removed the fixme=yes since it is no longer relevant.

Please don't just click resolve on errors and issues unless you understand it.

Splitting up streams just to hid an error when it is still completely wrong and shouldn't exist in the first place is incorrect:

Example:

parking lot aisles should be tagged as:
highway=service
service=parking_aisle

And not:
highway=classified

Updated accordingly.

When updating businesses since they are out of business can you update the "name=*" to "was:name=*"

Also remove the ancillary data tags since it is no longer relevant, such as cuisine=*, website=*, hours=*, brand=*, etc. I ran across a few other edits for CVS, Walgreens and other brands and it is causing confusion on whether it might be there or not. It is also showing up on other rendering sites despite it no longer being there.

Thanks - just a kind request to go the extra mile to save some cleanup work.

Thanks!

When adding street names, we don't use abbreviations. "Wy" should be "Way"

way/1390972329

That's an interesting name.

Please don't glue landuse to roadways. It makes it really difficult to work with. Bleh - I'm not even going to bother updating roads and features here because it is such a spider web of a mess.

Please don't glue landuse to roadways. It is a nightmare to adjust roads with glued landuses.

If possible, please unglue these landuses to make it easier to work here. Once you have unglued them, I will return to continue updating the area.

Changeset undone. Please don't map information by creating duplicate features. This is wrong and leads to confusion.

Is "114 Bayard Street" the actual name of this or is it just the address?

As mentioned before, a name is only a name and not an address.

What source did you use for the name?

172232293 2 months ago

If you are adding these as a result of notes, please close the notes.

173138938 2 months ago

The name is actually "Windsor Locks Train Station" NOT "New Windsor Locks Train Station"

Only actual names should be used. Descriptive names such as "New" should not be in the name if it is not the actual name.

Is there a reason you removed the name and brand info for Starbucks rather than to "proposed:" or "construction:" ?

All info from note was previously incorporated to aid in note closure and you removed said info without even adding a note. If you have info, feel free to map it rather than leaving it only in a note.

For self storage places, the name should be added to the larger landuse area or as a node if there is more than one building.

Is "116 Bayard Street" the actual name?

Please provide a source for the name and update accordingly if that isn't the actual name.

I advise you to read up on the name wiki page:
name=*

Is the name really "705 Joyce Kilmer Avenue" or is that just the placeholder?

If you don't have an actual name, please leave it blank. Name is only a name and not an address.

Do you know if bridge is being rebuilt or repaired?

Please ensure you are using the correct tags for temporary closures if you so choose to map them:

Didn't know there was a grocery store chain named "Closed grocery"... must not be popular.
