I haven't touched the name of this stop area but simply inherited from a former OSM contributor. Names for stop area relations are currently not rendered anywhere which is why often they are descriptive to help telling them apart. This seems to be the case here as well to easily differentiate in OSM editors which stop area belongs to the upper or lower portion of Stratford. All stop position and station elements in this stop area bear the correct name "Stratford". So not sure if the stop area's name needs amending.

The main argument speaking against tagging it as a light rail is that commonly light rail infrastructure and rolling stock is somewhere between trams and heavy rail which is very visible in all the example images in this article:

If you look at "Cairo LRT" though you can see that it's heavy rail infrastructure (high top speed curve radii, high speed catenaries, cross free separate right of way) and heavy rail rolling stock (high capacity with 5+ carriages per train set, much higher speed than trams or even Stadtbahns, larger structure gauge as visibile in the inner carriage width)

Thanks for updating Cairo LRT. I was initially considering tagging the infrastructure as railway=light_rail, too, but decided against it. Because different than the name suggests more elements of the infrastructure actually are S-Bahn like train infrastructure. Primarily the station infrastructure, top speed and train capacity speak against light rail categorization. I would suggest to keep the tagging as railway=train therefor. Let me know if you are okay with reverting the tagging

Der Building-Tag sollte wiedergeben, wie das Gebäude gebaut wurde, nicht wie es genutzt wird. Kann ich von aussen schwer einschätzen, inwieweit der Bau substantiell umgebaut werde. Wenn du mehr weisst, kann es Sinn machen building=apartments zu taggen.

Thank you for fixing this. I found a bit of conflicting info on what's the westernmost station of the extension. Hopefully the full extension to Kaymakamlik will open later this month

This is an underground station location. The subway entrances are marked via a separate railway=subway_entrance object

Darf man denn in beide Richtungen auf der Hauptstrasse 30 km/h fahren? Man kann durchaus verschiedene Geschwindigkeiten in beiden Richtungen per maxspeed:forward und :backward eintragen. maxspeed wird dann einfach nicht eingetragen

I couldn't find service=long_distance documented anywhere. Can you help me find documentation of it? It seems to be a tagging only used for train routes otherwise.

Hi, yes there is only one Eritrean (and Ethiopian) orthodox church, the addition of "tewahedo" is not necessary and not established in OSM therefor. Just have a look at the currently used denomination values at https://taginfo.openstreetmap.org/keys/denomination#values that contain "orthodox". Search box is on top right

I came across your changes on both Plaça de Sants and Plaça Espanya where you created some very large stop area relations for all of the public transport (PT) infrastructure on that location. If the PT infrastructure is a separate location (like metro stations, bus stations) it is preferable to create separate stop areas which are then linked via a stop_area_group relation that contains all of them. You can see an example here for Espanya which contains the metro, GCG and bus stop areas: relation/5720834

Could you follow this established tagging scheme, please? Here's the related documentation: osm.wiki/Relation:public_transport

The main difference is that Carmelit is an (underground) train pulled by a cable which is the definition of a funicular :) Subways are never pulled by cables. English wikipedia also calls it a funicular: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carmelit

In this changeset you added platform ways on both directions of the Skullerud stop. The problem is that you added them while more detailed platform objects in form of areas already exist:

From a data perspective it looks like there are now 4 platforms at Skullerud. What was your motivation for adding these ways? Maybe together we can find a better way to improve the station data.
