yes, this is intentional. Please see the link in the changeset summary: There had been a less then optimally prepared and communicated and then aborted mass edit of archaeological sites after the vote to deprecate osm.wiki/Tag:site_type=. We are trying to fix this problem at the moment, centrally having a duplicate tagging till July so data consumers will have the chance to adapt, which had not been the case so far. Normally, this adaptation period should have taken place BEFORE a mass edit.

As far as I know these are stones collected from the landfill that used to be there and that were freely arranged in the mid-90s, when the tip was turned into a park. The tagging "ruins" is from the user who added them to the database 11 years ago and who also warned that this is not a historic object.
I am not convinced this actually is art, rather landscape architecture. But I suppose it could be re-tagged as tourism=artwork and artwork_type=sculpture, if you prefer this.

I see you changed all the roads I added yesterday into tracks. Could you let me know why? These are not minor land-access roads but serve as a connection in the general-purpose road network, which according to the Wiki makes them roads, not tracks. Some are even paved. From all I know and read in the Wiki, they should be tagged as highway=unclassified.

Also, may I kindly ask you to use more specific edit summaries? "Modify some ways and tags" is about true for I suppose 95 % of all edits in OSM ... ;-)

This puzzles me - the maproulette rightly states that linking to a category is one of the aims of the challenge. A single image shall only be chosen if there is no category available, see the wiki: wikimedia_commons=*

den Datennutzern soll Zeit gegeben werden, sich auf das geänderte Tagging-Schema einzustellen. Normal hätte diese Anpassungzeit vor einem Umtagging sein sollen, doch unglücklicherweise ist dieser Ablauf nicht eingehalten worden. Um das zu heilen, ist mit diesem Changeset doppelt getaggt worden. Im Juli 2023 sollen dann die Tags des alten Schemas aus diesen POIs entfernt werden.

Du arbeitest mit iD als Editor, also direkt über den Browser, stimmt's? Dort kannst du die Quelle entweder in der Zusammenfassung all deiner Änderungen beim Hochladen angeben, oder - was ich bei solchen Objekten wie dem hier besser finde - direkt beim Objekt über Bearbeiten - Feld hinzufügen - Quellen.

Ein Gebiet kannst du in iD einzeichnen über Bearbeiten - Fläche (oben in der Mitte rechts). Der kannst du dann auch die ganzen Tags zuweisen wie einem Punkt.

Du musst nur aufpassen: Aus geschützten Quellen darf das für Openstreetmap nicht abgezeichnete werden. Deshalb rennen viele Mapper mit dem GPS-Gerät draußen herum ... Das wäre also die sauberste Art und Weise :-). Ich habe es nicht überprüft, aber bei den meisten Bundesländern sind die digitalen Geländemodelle (aus dem das Bild auf S. 14 des Amtsblatts offenbar stammt) nicht so lizenzierst, dass wir sie hier nutzen könnten.

Hi, there had been a less than well prepared and communicated and then aborted mass re-tagging of archeological sites that we are trying to fix at the moment. The duplicate tagging with the old and the new scheme until July is intended to give data consumers time to adapt to the new tagging scheme. Normally, this time to adapt should have been given BEFORE the mass re-tagging. See also the link in my changeset summary.

ja, stimmt, danke - ich war doch schon zu müde nach sieben Stunden Mappen ... nicht schlecht, so viele Punkte abzuklappern! Ich schaffe meist nur etwa zehn am Tag.

Eine Bitte hätte ich: Die Grabhügel haben jetzt alle name="Vorgeschichtliche Grabhügel". Zum einen klingt das so als wären das jeweils mehrere, zum anderen ist das ja nicht wirklich ein Name, sondern die Gattung, und die wird ja schon durch archaeological_site=tumulus festgehalten. Würdest du den Namen wohl einfach leer lassen bzw. löschen, wenn es keinen konkreten gibt?

mir fallen gerade deine Änderungen aus dem niedersächsichen Denkmalatlas auf. Bitte warte mal mit weiteren Übernahmen, bis die Lizenz geklärt ist - laut der Nutzungsbedingungen sind nämlich nur die Metadaten unter CC0, was aber das Abzeichnen aus Karten eher nicht abdeckt.
